what service do you have? I have verizon, now I learned to do text messages but what i didn't know is it costs 10 cents for every one you send and 2 cents for the person recieving it. OK, so 10 and 2 cents isnt alot but I wanted to show off and sent many text messages. I was so excited I knew how to do it.

There are so many things it can do, I don't use them all.

LOL, ignore all the stuff you don't need C. Ann. Go through the book and figure out what you have to know and highlight it, bookmark it or something and the rest you can figure out later if you want to.

c.Ann, hit *86 and that will give you your voice mail. Hope this works for you. Oh on yahoo my son has it so at 1:30 EVERY day come rain or shine I get the weather forcast. He has his programed so he can get a beep and text message when the Bruins are playing and scaore, YIKES, it can get so confusing

You are not alone. I've had mine for several years and still don't know how to do everything. I agree, just learn what you need to know.

I do get a kick out of my mother. She swears the only way to turn her phone off is to remove the battery. LOL! I've gone over the instructions on how to do that a million times.

But seriously, could it be beeping because the battery is getting low on power? I don't have Verison but that doesn't matter. That's a matter of the phone manufacturer.

Most of you won't be able to take advantage of this but our household has it's cell phones through Conestoga. It costs us $50 per month (not a typo, I proofread) and we get 60 (sixty!) hours per month. Text messages cost NOTHING extra!!!

Ya'll need to move to Pennsylvania!

i'd say c anns phone beeping is verzions pain in the a!! way of letting you know you have voice mail i hadmy disabled within 2 days of getting phone. i still get notice but it's a once per voice mail thing not every 2 secs.

you should be able to get voice mail by pushing *86 than talk or send on your phone. once you hear voice mail there is an option to delete msg. mine is 7 If you call verzion customer service they should be able to to disable that beeping for you once and for all.

Ok text messages is how all us deafies like to communicate. It is the best thing since bread and butter. I can't live without it. That's how I can contact my dh in the parks. I can never hear the cell phone at WDW. Rings and I hear nothing. I can crank the volume to the top level to try and understand a voice message but they really are never clear for me. I LOVE TEXT MESSAGING! Have it on my cell and on my pager.
