We arrived on Monday the 14th to a royal welcome at the Port Orleans French Quarter. "Hello there, Happy Anniversary" the cute gal at the desk said when we checked in. They upgraded us to a nice room right on the Sassgagolua river. lots of flowers and pretty scenery right outside the room. Shortly after we settled in, a guy arrived with a dozen yellow roses in a pretty vase for me. We spent a leisurely afternoon around the resort and went to an early dinner at the Boatwright Inn where we had a great meal and finished it up with a cup of absolutely great coffee. The chef came out with a creme brule desert, compliments of the house, introduced himself and wished us a happy anniverssary. What a nice ending to a fine meal!.

We then took the boat over to Downtown Disney and went to the Cirque Du Soliel La Nouba show. Absolutely Incredible! It was a combination of circus, theater, acrobatics, dance all mixed into one. And while it was a lot of seperate acts going on, it flowed. Really quitew impossibe to explain it you'd have to see it yourself. We walked back through Downtown Disney as it was closing up a little after midnight and caught the final boat back to the French Quarter

We slept in the next morning. Finally up and showered, we went over to the reraurant and had a bignet and cofee before getting on the bus to EPCOT where we spent most of the rest of the day. We had a nice lunch at the french restaurant there and just enjoyed the wonderful weather. We caught the bus back to the resort where we relaxed a bit then changed into some nicer clothes and then took the monorail to the Contemporary Resort. We had dinner resrervations at the California Grill which is on the top of the Contenporary, 15 stories high. We were escorted to our window table overlooking The Magic Kindom. Our waiter, Robert greeted us with "Happy Anniversary" and we proceeded to have one the most enjoyable meals out we have ever had. The food was fantastic, The wine was superb, Robert was an absolutely great waiter always there but never intrusive. As we were finishing up dinner with desert and cofee, the fireworks began over the castle in Magic Kingdom. Quite a show. Quite a dinner.

The Next day we spent in Magic Kingdom and went on some rides we had never been on before, I took some good pictures of the castle
with our digital camera. We went back to the resort and reluctantly had to check out. Driving back home we talked about how it had been a really wonderful few days, everything had worked out just right. All the reservations went through. The only time I mentioned to anyone that it was our anniversary was once to the Walt Disney Reservations Agent when I first called. He must have written it down and then passed it on.

Then we got caught in a terrible traffic jam in downtown Orlando....Welcome back to reality!

What a wonderful way to spend your Anniversary (especially considering what a special one yours was). My 25th is coming soon and I would LOVE to spend it at WDW, but doubt that it will happen. Anyway, thanks for sharing.
