$3000 hotel budget-6nts where?

I vote for a 2 bedroom at Beach Club Villas. There is plently of room for the boys in their own bedroom or in the Living Room. My kids liked to play in their "own room" (the 2nd bedroom). Remember, with this option, you will have 3 televisions and a DVD player in the Living Room.

Don't get to worried about the cooking thing, I almost never cooked while on vacation, but it was nice to have the fridge for pop and we did pick up bread, peanut butter and jelly for snacks. If your worried about a place for the boys to eat, there is Beaches and Creme and Hurrcicane Hannahs that both have hot Dogs and Hamburgers.

I think you have to really consider what your wife and kids really want. You'll be gone most of the day. What will they be doing while you're gone? Will they be in the parks or by the pool or hanging out near the resort? When it's just me with the kids, I want the easy way. Taking care of excited kids who are going in different directions and who are always hungry would dictate where I'd stay.
Poly Concierge would be my vote....I don't see the family staying indoors alot.....but I do see them eating a lot and being busy, plus MK is right there.
However, the $$$$$$$ is a big issue.
Number ONE recommendation, stay where your wife wants to stay.

Hi, We just returned from our first stay at the Poly concierge. IT was THE BEST!! We are DVC owners so I am very used to having a 1 bed villa, but the rooms at the POly are very LARGE and the offerings in the lounge are definitely worth it!! My 2 boys are 9 and 15 and they loved the pool at the poly. I myself loved the beach with lounge chairs, swings and hammocks. My 17 year old daughter was also with us,as was my hubby and we did fine with 5 in the room. I think the lounge will be great for your wife and boys with its food offerings and big screen TV. My 9 year old loved being able to eat in front of the Tv(something not allowed at home). Having the lounge to use really made it seem like we had more than one hotel room,we spent more time there than in our room!! My family cannot wait to go back!! There is also CapTain Cooks just a short walk away,a couple of mornings my two sons would go and get french toast stixs there and take them back to the lounge to have breakfast together. Joan

Just when I thought I had it narrowed down...my wife started leaning toward the poly concierge......she goes and does a "talk to the moms at school to see what they think" and comes home with a flip-flop back over to beach club ..I think... :)

Her "school moms vote" led me to believe that the kids would be "more into" EPCOT/Boardwalk/MGM than she had first envisioned. So staying at Beach Club/Boardwalk Villas was THE choice.

Mickey'sbud makes a good point as well...It seems the monorail resort convenience so the kids could get up and go with her would be easiest.

I think I'll do some searching on the Beach Club concierge level if that is kinda' the best of both?

Terry- You make it soun d like a true "home away from home in the 2br villas and the fridge doors at my house are open 24/7 with the boys looking for soda/juice..meaning of life...whatever. :teeth:
