I tried to add a third adult to a concierge room at the Poly and I was quoted a new room rate that almost doubled the price of the room!!! Is this really possible? The rate jumped from 348 per night up to almost 650. This had to be some sort of mistake. The room is booked on the best rate program.

Seems like a mistake....but maybe a new glitch with the fabulous BRP...keep us updated!

I just checked online and it seems the extra charge should be about $100 total. I will call back tomorrow and see if I can get better luck. I really want to join my wife, MIL and daughter for a quick christmas trip. I will let you know what happens.

For some reason Disney seems to have a problem with modifying an existing reservation. When some one calls to make a change they will actually make a totaly new reservation and cancel your old reservation. Since your reservation is on the BRP you are allowed only 1 room reserved, so when the CM enters your new reservation you get kicked out of the BRP since you already have a room reserved. Do you have another AP you can use for your new reservation? But now you get into the non-refundable deposit in your current reservation. Oh well, good luck.

P.S. You will have to have all this worked out before you hit 60 days before arrival or you won't qualify for BRP at all.

When we add a third adult to the concierge at the Poly we just wait and add the person when we arrive...for a couple of reasons...one should plans change its harder to get that refund back and more time consuming...secondly often when arriving they just waive the extra fee. I would just wait and add on when you arrive! Have a great time!

Since your reservation is on the BRP you are allowed only 1 room reserved, .

you can book 3 rooms on your AP

Ok,

I called back today & got a CM who obviously saw the system was freaking out big time, she said something about reverse charging or something and put me on hold for a few minutes. Apparently, guest services had to add me on, so all in all it was +$27 per night, not $320!! Everything is all square and booked for 3 big kids and 1 little adult
