30 things you'll never hear a Southern Boy say:

Now wait just a cotton pickin minute nobody say "you all", do they???? Cuz that just ain't propper English ya'll!:teeth:

Deep dark depression, excessive misery
If it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all
Doom, despair and agony on meeeeeeee- I loved that part on Hee-Haw when I was a kid! And I always liked the part whit the girl and her Pa too- they were hilarious!

I reckon y'uns from the south will be callin' BR-549. I'm a fixin to go...will be back directly.

Very funny and I'm sure it wasn't meant to offend anyone.

This New Yorker used to love watching Hee Haw.. and I-40 Paradise, too!::yes:: ::yes::

Hey FroggyinArk-
Are you anywhere Blytheville?
Spent a few years there as a teenager.
Maybe thats where I got my love of Wal-Marts and my intense fear of bugs that make noise...

I just got a chance to write, been fixin' the yungins' their lunch. That's right fried baloney, pork rinds - spicey ones at that, we ain't no sissies, who says your yun'gins can't have a cold Budweiser for lunch - just helps to insure a good nap.:teeth:

Seriously though, If you were a kid in the 70's in the south, you watched Hee Haw on Saturday night & (esp. if from NC) Andy Griffith re-runs in the afternoons, that's right Paw, we still watch Andy, Aunt Bee, Opie (or Ope as Paw says) and the whole Mayberry gang every afternoon still, DS6 loves it. Alot of the things on that list, didn't exactly apply to me or my family, but there are quite a few folks in this area that fit the profile of all 30.

And used to LOVE Hee Haw!;) "Hey Grandpa--whats for supper?" Remember that one?:p

These are so funny!

Has anyone else seen the DVD "Blue Collar Comedy Tour" featuring Jeff Foxworthy and friends? DH and I rented it from Hollywood Video one day (because we like Jeff Foxworthy) and ended up rolling all over the floor laughing our butts off. We are both from the South (He from OK and me from TX) and every word of what they said was true.

Oh and did I mention my grandmother raised me on Minnie Pearl? "HOW-DEEEEE!" :wave2:

TOV

I saw the Blue Collar Comedy Tour and it is great. Larry the Cable Guy made me hurt I was laughing so hard.
