I just got an email with a 30% off code available for stays most nights 8/10-9/27/08, 10/19-11/1/08, 11/9-11/15/08 and 12/7-12/13/08. Is this for any resorts? Has anyone else used this pin? Thanks

I got the same code in my email. We already had a reservation, the GP code came out and we applied that to our reservation then BAM! the email came w/ a pin. My dh called and the cm really confused us about this one. DH is planning on calling again today to speak to another cm because it seems this 30% off pin would save us more money than the GP discount. I'll let you know what we find out.

I have requested the vacation planning cd every year...sometimes twice a year and also the DVC dvd , yet still have never received a pin or code

I I have gone 28 times and I have never gotten a code, I do look for codes on here and they have worked for me at times. I hope they have a code out at Christmas, 2 years ago i went for Christmas in CA and I got a great deal with a code for that week. I can only wish

I received one and tried to book the Polynesian for our August trip but they were sold out with the 30% off pin. I would book as soon as you know what you want.

I received this same PIN code. I used it to book POR for October 19th and it did give us a very good discount. Much better than the AAA that I used for the rest of our stay. We're leaving on the 20th so we could only use it for our last night but it still saved us a lot.

I am not sure which resorts you can book with this PIN. I only checked POR.

I think it depends on availability; they have a certain number of coded rooms per day per resort. When we tried to apply our PIN to our CR ressie, our dates were sold out. But the Poly was open for those dates, so we switched.

So book ASAP and keep an open mind as to other options. You could conceivably upgrade to a more expensive resort and still save money... we did

I have a question. If October is supposed to be a slow time of year why do all the offers end on 9/27 and not start up again until mid Oct??? We of course are traveling to WDW beginning of Oct

I am wondering the same thing. We're going Oct. 11th-20th. I am guessing that they are expecting it to be somewhat busy during the 1st couple of weeks. I hope it's not to bad.

Yes, Columbus day is part of the problem. The week before Columbus and the week after are also blackout days too. We are getting there the weekend of Columbus day and I expect the weekend to be pretty crowded but will the entire week after also be as bad? I hope not.

I didn't expect Columbus Day to be as bad as other holidays.
Here in Indiana (or at least in our school district) Columbus Day is not a day off. I am taking my kids out that day because they will be off the Wed. Thurs. and Friday after Columbus Day for fall break. Normally we are off a week later but for some reason they changed it for this year.

Has anyone else been the week of Columbus Day? Is the entire week really busy or just the weekend including Columbus Day?

We are camping at FW that weekend. I figured Columbus Day itself would be pretty busy so we were just going to hang around the campgrounds that day and skip the parks. Are there other days we should do that too?

FYI for anyone else going that weekend: Columbus Day is also a MNSSHP day so it will probably be extra busy.

I'm wondering the same thing... Columbus Day is October 13th. We are at WDW Oct 15 - 22 and I'm hoping it's not too busy. Anyone who has been there around Columbus Day... could you fill us in?
Here in Minnesota Columbus Day isn't a holiday either. Our school is on break Oct. 16-17 for MEA workshops and that's why we decided to go the week we did - we only have to pull our son out of school for 4 days.
