I have a question. This is the first time we have ever encountered this perdicament because 1. ds3 was under 3 at the time and 2. We used the 'old school' style of tickets.

So excuse me of my stupidity.

We are going to get the MYW tickets for us and ds3, and I was wondering do 3 year olds have to do the hand in the biometric scanner thingy? :confused3
How exactly does that work?

I mean, I know a few preschoolers besides my ds and I know a lot of little 'uns (and a lot of us big 'uns lol :rotfl: ) would not remember exactly how there position of their index finger, and thumb was the first time they scanned.

So any help/advice on this would be appreciated!

Kids don't have to use the scanner, they just put their ticket in. Not sure what age they start using it, my DD(9) doesn't have to use it either, maybe it starts at 10 with an adult ticket.

My DD3 didn't have to use it..it would have been a disaster to even try.

DD4 didn't need to use it, DD 9 did. So somewhere in between.

Only adults have to do the 2 fingers so 10 and up. Children 9 and under do not have to do the biometric scanner.

Is this for all tickets?

Yes, all adult tickets (10 and over) must now sign the back and use the "ticket tag system" AKA biometric scanner. My dh and 10yo even had to sign their old PHP even though there really wasn't a spot for it. Even though they were never supposed to be, WDW tickets are now really not transferrable.

Upon entry to the USA us foreigners have to have a digital photograph taken and also have our fingerprints taken by US Immigration.

This only applies to visitors aged 14 and upwards so i would assume as Disney class 10 year olds as adults thenthose 10 and up will have to do it at Disney.

kids tickets do not need to do the scan.

Guess I'm not understanding... how is this all set up? When do we sign the tickets? Can someone please explain this to me?
