Hello! I need some advice on creative and fun things to do when in Disney World for my DD's 3rd Birthday.

Some background info...
We'll be there Mon, 9/12 thru Sat 9/17 and staying at the Movies this time. My DH and I think she'll get a real kick out of the larger than life characters.
This is my 10th trip, DH's 8th trip, and DD's 3rd trip.
Allison typically is in bed by 7 everynight but does wake up very early... We might have her stay out a tad late but not anything too crazy. She is a routine and schedule kid... On our last trip we just about "opened the lobby" at the WL every morning. Every #$@* morning. :sad2:

Do you have any ideas for some neat things to do to make this trip especially wonderful? We want to make it all about her and her special day, but not by buying everything in the park. I'd love to hear any and all ideas you might have on this!

Thanks for sharing!

:cool1: Booked the room, booked the flight.. waiting for dreams unlimited to book Cindy's! Yahhoo!

We will be enjoying the magic in June and my grandson will celebrate his birthday while there. You can stop at guest services at each park and they will give you a special birthday button. Every cast member will wish your child happy birthday. I think your hotel can deliver balloons to the room if you let them know. We took an older friend once (16 years) and at MGM they let her through the turnstiles first and had everyone in line sing to her. Hope that helps! I would love to hear other stories! :rolleyes1

I hadn't heard about the button! That will be great! Thanks.. hopefully we can hear many more stories!

Our stay at ASMo in February was bookended by my two DS's birthdays. Upon check-in the great CM asked if we were celebrating anything special (not sure if the dates showed up on our info. screen). I acknowleged the two birthdays (6 & 4), and he said as far as he was concerned their birthday celebrations started upon check-in & lasted until departure.

He told us about the birthday buttons available at Guest Services at each park (three out of the four were different designs). He also asked if they had a particular favorite character and hinted about "something special" for later in the week. He didn't make any specific promises, however.

One afternoon, to our delight, birthday cards were left for the boys in the room. The cards included an autographed character picture with a balloon.

The boys wore their birthday buttons sporadically during the week, and received birthday greetings from plenty CM's. There were several other "Magic" moments (like fast passes for one favorite ride), but all were unexpected.

Make sure you get the buttons, the CM's are always on the look out for people wearing them. The last time we went it was my daughters birthday and I made her a birthday shirt and bought her a birthday hat. Some great things that happened to us were: a free birthday pin at one of the pin trading carts, free dessert at Sci-Fi(I think most rest. will give you something),a phone call from Mickey at one of the stores we visited and lots of Happy Birthdays during the parade and throughout the day. Since my daughter had a birthday in the park,I am always looking for people wearing the button so that I too can wish them a special day!!!! Have Fun....it truely is magical!!! :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl:

That stuff sounds great! I was wondering what we would need to do to get Allison in the parade. Any advice on that?
