3 year olds a disney?

My daughter is 3 and 1/2. How strict is disney at the gates? Do I need to purchase a ticket or just say she is 2?

I think a few people recently have posted about being questioned by CMs (including the kids) about if they were 3 or not. I think one person also was asked about a birth certificate (this was a couple of months ago). I'd buy the ticket to be on the safe side. You don't want an arguement at the gates.

I've been in this position many times. We always bought a ticket. To me, it felt like the right thing to do - and there was NO WAY my kids would lie about their age if asked anyway. I certainly would have ended up embarrassed.

Just warning you now that you will be flamed for asking if you 3 and 1/2 Daughter needs & ticket & then asking if you can say she is 2 years old. I am not going to flame you, however others will so just a heads up because this happens to be a hot button issue on Disboards.

This is probably not the place to ask about breaking the rules. DIS'ers are very opinionated about that. If your daughter is 3, she needs a park admission ticket.

Our son just turned 3 and on our last visit I was worried that I'd have to get out the birth certificate because he wasn't 3 yet. He is really tall for his age and looks more like 4. We were never questioned. One CM kind of rolled his eyes like he didn't believe it, but he never said a word.

You could probably get away with it, but it is stealing and wrong. Bad karma will follow your visit like a black cloud over your head.

Just follow the rules and be happy that you get to be there.
