My DD3 loved it! I knew DD9 would be fine as she is a coaster fan! The activities for little ones are perfect - no lines - just explore on your own type things like playgrounds and water attractions - so wonderful! She loved Suess Landing - got there first thing and rode everything with no wait multiple times - great exercise climbing through the long lines, too! I can't say enough about Fievel's playland, Curious George, Camp Jurassic or the zoo area in SL - she loved them all and it was great fun to watch her while DH and DD9 went to the big stuff! I didn't do as many big things this time - must be getting old b/c after the ice side of DD, I was one dizzy lizzy!

Questions - parents of preschoolers - ask away!

That's GREAT! I'm so glad your family had a wonderful time! :yay:

Now...pictures please!
:teeth:

I have to learn how to do that - I'll try my best - I have some cute ones - now if only my luggage would come back!

Great that I found this today. DH and I were talking about visiting the Universal parks but have heard that they are not worth the money with the little ones. DD is 4 and DS is 6 months. So what are the family attractions? Like at Disney, are there rides that even the baby can go on with mommy or daddy? Is there enough to do to justify the money if we really aren't a thrill ride family? Thanks so much!!

This is just what I need to hear! My boys will be 6 and 3 when we go. I'd love to see pics! Is there any rides you would recommend that your 3 year old especially enjoyed?

She loved all the rides in Suess Landing - esp the Trolley Train Ride and the Caro Suess el. She did not like getting sprayed on one fish two fish. We went on cat in the hat once - it's a dark ride and somewhat jerky. What she loved was all of the awesome play areas. If you like exploring new places with the kids - it was great - slides, rope ladders, water attractions. I read on here to wear bathing suits and bring a towel - I am so glad we did - and fresh clothes. Just for the kids, not the parents. It is worth the money because if you take your time and let the kids lead the action, you could spend a lot of time there. There definitely are not as many rides that the whole family can do together - we were split up on all of our universal days and together on our AK and MK days. IOA is so colorful and fun! IF you go early, you will have Suess landing to yourselves - very nice - I will put some pics up once I learn how.

Thanks for reading.

Thanks Shawn! It's great to hear they have unique and creative play areas for the littles. My sons were 1 and nearly 4 when we went to WDW last. They most fondly remember the Dino dig at AK and Pooh's playful spot at MK. When we watch the home movies of our trip that is what they want to see. :thumbsup2

hah sm, I believe I might have seen you two at the caro seuss el! was it you and your small daughter and your husband and older daughter were over at Hulk? I believe I was the attendant for you guys!

Weird - I was thinking about you while I was there because I had read your earlier post. It would have been last Monday and/or Friday - I'm a tall red head and my daughter is a curly blonde - was it us?

DD9 loved Hulk! I liked it, too - way better than DD. The ice side - ugh - I'm getting old!

haha! I think it was you! on Monday early Morning I was the attendant with the glasses at the caro-seuss-el :goodvibes

Thank you for a super start to our day - you were wonderful!

I think I'd get pretty sick of saying the same thing day after day a ton of times, but you did it with enthusiasm and a smile!
