My DD is turning 3 on March 20th and I would like to do something for her birthday but I'm not sure what. She isn't in pre-school yet and we live on a very busy road so she doesn't have many friends. The only friend she has is her cousin who is 11 months older than she is. Obviously I can't have a big party for her since we don't have a large guest list. Any idea on what to do for her??

I would love to go to chuckie cheese but the closest one is 3 hours away I think. We do have "kid gym" type places but again it would be just her and her cousin so having a "party" there seems pointless. We will do cake, ice cream and presents at home but I want her whole day to be fun for her. Now that she knows what's going on I would like to do something really fun. I can't think of anything for 2 little girls to do???

I don't know if your little one likes things like this, but for my three year old's birthday last year I took her and her 4 year old sister to get their nails and hair done. She is VERY girly and she loved it! Since you do not have a chuck-e-cheese near you, I'm assuming you do not have a club libby lu as well. However, if you do, they do their hair, nails, and makeup no matter how many children you have. I think the makeovers are from $20 and up.

Have a stuffed animal tea party! Make over a room in your house for the tea party, hanging colored scarves or (can't think if the name of it, but the see-through weave they make the wedding veils from) or streamers from the middle of the room out to the edge. Get a cute little girl tea set, and put real cold tea, milk or whatever in the tea pot. Bake cookies with the children before the party, and when they cool, put them on a platter. Buy some of the build-a-bear dress up clothes on-line and dress up some of your little girl's stuffed animals while the cookies are cooling. Let the girls pour the "tea" and serve it and cookies to all the bears. It'll be precious, they'll love making the cookies and pouring the tea, and there will be great pics!

That sounds perfect!! What a great idea!! That sounds just like my daughter. I'll have the girls get all dressed up and we can do their hair and nails like twoprincesses suggested ( they are very "girly" girls) I know she'll absolutely LOVE it. The big girls ( me, Madalynn's nana and her Great Auntie Lou ) will love it too. Now I'm getting excited party:
I can't thank you enough, you just made my day!:worship: :thanks:

Is there a tea room anywhere near you. Most girls, young or old love these and no work for you!!!!

Also with only two kids you could do build a bear if you are near one of these. I would include the adults in the family and then just focus on what the girls would like to do.
Sounds like they are both only chidlren and bet the adults would love to be in on the fun.

Just wanted to let you know you're not alone. We live out in the boonies and my 4 year old doesn't go to preschool so pretty much her only friends right now are me, her baby sister and her 2 cousins who live nearby. She will be 5 this Thursday and mercifully we do live near an Incredible Pizza so we're paying for the whole family (aunts, uncles, grandparents) to go to IP for her birthday so it'll feel like a special occasion (we happened to be at the beach for her older sister's 5th birthday wouldn't you know). Have fun doing the tea party. I think that's a great idea. We did something like that once, where we painted nails, did hair and then let them decorate Spongebob cookies.
