3 weeks out what kinds of FP+ will be left?

If any at all?! I am so aggravated. We are going down with DD's dance school in June, and since we are traveling with a group, a travel company is controlling the whole reservation. Our deadline to pay in full was March 7th. I went online on March 5th and paid the trip in full for 6 people. I have been asking all along when I would get my reservation number and they have been saying sometime in April. Well today I called to ask about something else and I asked if they could pin down exactly WHEN in April we would get our reservation number. Well the guy was kind of snippy and said we probably won't get it until June…ACK! I explained that we are going down June 21 and I would like to book our FP+ reservations, which I SHOULD be able to do 29 days from now! I also explained that I have made a whole bunch of dining ADRs and I would like to link them, and I'd also like to customize our magic bands. The man was VERY unsympathetic and said I would just have to wait until June. GRRRRRRRRR…I made it very clear how unhappy I was with this whole situation and told him I would NEVER recommend their travel company! The other thing that really ticked me off was that he said they have to wait for all of the groups to pay in full before they can get any numbers from Disney. And I said I thought everyone had to be paid in full by the deadline of Mach 7th? And he says, "Well not everybody is a conscientious as you are." WHAT??!! I said, "So I could have not sent my money in by the 7th and not been penalized?? So what was the whole point of the deadline?!

Anyway, Thank for reading my rant if you still are…I truly do have a question here. If I am unable to make FP+ reservations until maybe 3 weeks before our trip, will I be able to secure the big ones? Such as Soarin', Space Mountain, Splash Mtn, etc., 7DMT (if open and available)? The other big one we really wanted was a Anna and Elsa FP for my DD who is 10…will I even have a shot at getting any of those now?

I can't say for sure about your situation, but we are 4 weeks out and everything is available except Anna and Elsa.

We just returned so I can't speak to 7DMT or Anna and Elsa since those didn't apply at the time. But, I think you will be just fine. I made ours at 60 days but then ended up tweaking them a bit as things changed, such as the Festival of Fantasy parade debuting. Even the night before it seemed like there was still a LOT of availability as far as attractions go. Not necessarily every time slot for every ride, but generally a lot of availability. So at 3 weeks out I think you'll be fine.

From everything I've seen here, not all the FPs are released before the actual day. They need to save some for off-property guests.

If a fastpass option appears greyed out for you (or it is not an option for you to choose) try breaking up you party into smaller groups, or get one fast pass and copy others to it. I had to do this for one of the princesses and our group of 5 has passes from 0935 and then 5 min intervals. We will all be able to go in together but our window will be shorter.

This is one of the things I was afraid of . I wish I hadn't already asked my DD if she wanted to meet them since now she will be REALLY disappointed if she can't.
