3 weeks and counting.....eeeeeeeeeek!

OMAGOSH....i have 3 weeks till we leave. I have to work full time till then, my 77 yr old mom decides to have major knee surgery the week before we leave, so my "week for packing" is now spent getting her to the bathroom (out of town mind you) and cooking/cleaning for her and my dad who's 91. I dont mind these things, it's my mom afterall, but omygosh thats packign week!!

So all I have is Sept 14-16 to pack everything for our Sept 30th trip. It seems so early and we need to wear our clothes but i have no choice.

do i sound like i'm panicing. I could wait and do EVERYTHING packing wise on the day before we leave, but that makes me nervous...you know how no one rests the day before...well i want to

anyway rant over. Why oh why am i so stressed!

We have 3 weeks left also and Nureypoo5, I have started packing thing already, little things like sweatshirts we have to many anyway and only bringing one per person. toothpaste, shampoo's, ponchos, fanny packs. You know stuff that is only needed for your trip. You didn't say how many you were packing for but try doing one at a time when your home and not helping mom it will help and then if you don't get it all done before that last night, you will just have the little odds and ends to pack. I am packing for 6 So I will start packing one person at time starting next week.

We leave the 30th also , but I can't imagine packing already! I mean, I'd love to, but it's too early. I clean the house, do all the laundry, then start packing. It seems like the natural order of things for me...everything neat and tidy before I go cuz I'll be in no mood to do any of it upon return. Returning is depressing
