3 TS in one day too much?

My girls and I just got back yesterday, it was their first time and I wanted them to experience all the fun dining, so I purchased the deluxe dining, it was sooo much food, at the end of the week I had 4 meals left over and and something like 15 snacks. We would have been fine with 1 TS, 1 QS and 1 snack.

Thank you all so much for the great responses!!

with the ages of your kids and this being your first full day...I'd say it is too much. This is my opinion based on many many many disney trips. You will be getting up very early after a long travel day...then expecting the kids to hang til 8pm for dinner. Can you do it??? of course, but I don't think it will be fun.

I should've mentioned that I'm only taking DS. (It's going to be a fun mother/son thing for his first trip:goodvibes) I don't think I would EVER attempt 3 TS in a day with all 4 kids :scared1:. Our flight gets in at about 2pm the day before, and I plan on getting to bed early. Depending on how our day goes, we may end up heading back to the room for a break after lunch.

where are you staying...cuz that's a super LONG day unless you're staying at Contemporary Resort. Otherwise, if you're driving your own car, you'll have to be getting up around 6 a.m. to get to Chef Mickey's for a 7 a.m. reservation. If you're taking Disney transportation not even sure you can get there by 7 a.m.? And then you're still going at 8 p.m. to get to Boma (again, do you have your own car? Because if not, it's not easy to go from resort to resort...you'll have to bus to TTC or a park & then take a bus to AKL.) Either way, lots of travel time.

Now if you are staying in the CR Tower, then the breakfast & lunch arrangements make sense, especially if you're going to be at MK that day anyway.

I would not try to do 3 meals with kids...a lot of travel time/ a lot of coming & going. We've done 3 meals a day a few times, and every time we've said Never Again. It's a lot of food, even spaced out 5-6 hours.

We're staying at POFQ, and we're definitely very early risers, so getting to CM shouldn't be an issue. Also, I was thinking about taking a cab back from Boma, as I know DS will be exhausted by that point.

Someone else had mentioned 2 of these being buffets (sorry I forgot to quote that one). I hadn't even thought of that!! Great point!! I've done CM before, and didn't love the food, so didn't eat a ton. I'm doing that one for DS. I'm doing LTT for the experience, because I've never been. The only one that I'm totally doing for the food is Boma. So I guess if I just make sure I'm hungry for dinner, I should be okay.

Given that I already replied on the "2 TS in 1 day thread" that it was too much food, I would definitely say that 3 are too much. We find the regular DP to be pretty filling. I usually have just an apple or something for breakfast to leave enough room for our CS and TS meal later in the day. We are usually so full that we end up using have our snack credits to take fudge home.

We have done TS breakfast (early) and dinner (late) and that was pushing it for us. The thought of 3 TS in one day exhausts me :lmao:

You mentioned you are doing LTT for the experience. Although I love lunch there and go every time we are there and sometimes twice in one visit, its not really an experience. Dinner is the family style buffet and there are no characters anymore. Lunch is just off the regular menu, so although the food is very good & I recommend eating there, I'm not sure what kind of experience you are looking for. Hopefully you weren't expecting anything special or now know before hand that it is just a regular restaurant for lunch.

It depends on your family's dining needs. For us, we eat 3 meals a day. I prefer a TS meal to a CS meal because I like the variety of foods offered, I like taking a break to eat while seated, I like having someone wait on us instead of standing in a CS line and hunting for clean table.

With 2 young boys, this schedule works best for us. I usually have a character meal scheduled once a day. Even if a breakfast is TS, it's usually a pretty quick and easy meal. We're not huge eaters at every meal. And I couldn't do a heavy lunch at Le Cellier followed by another steak dinner at Teppan Edo.

It looks like the times of your ADRs are spaced out well. If it feels right for your family, then try it!

I say go for it!!! We did 3 TS meals every single day of our 7 day trip this past February and we plan to do the same for our next trip. It worked out great for us! I planned them around the park we were in for the day, I scheduled them well (minimum of 6 years between each one), we didn't lose that much park time, our kids did great and enjoyed the breaks for yummy food and never once did we feel like it was too much food and we were on the DxDP so we got appetizers with our meals too.

I think it's way too much food - which is probably why I don't do DXDP anymore. Also, I felt as if my whole day revolved around my dining reservations, and I didn't enjoy the parks because I was worried about arriving in time to eat a meal that I wasn't really hungry for.

It is not too much if you are okay spending most of your day either trying to get to a restaurant, from a restaurant or eating. My family was against ADR's at all for this second trip (in the beginning LOL) because we had to allow an hour and a half to get to a restaurant (and it took every bit of that time) 2-3 hours to eat (yes literally with just regular dining plan) and then travel time to get where you want to go. We had a 6 pm reservation for Kouzzina and started to make our way there about 4:30..we had to RUN to make our reservation and as we came out we made it just in time for the 9:00 showing of Illuminations. We were seated right away and our service was very good it just took a long long time....(just an example most of them took a significant amount of time but that one hit us with exactly how long because of the showtime) So have fun but be prepared not to do much but eat :)
