DW and 2 DD (5 and 8) are flying in from Australia in November and I was wandering what you consider the top 3 things we should do (Excluding rides)?

I have been to WDW previously but this is the first time for the rest fo the family.

#1 Get a Dole Whip at the Aloha Stand (by the Jungle Cruise)
#2 Find Tinkerbell at her store (look for the key hole in the trunk) My 5yr loves this...
#3 Have a Character Meal!

I hope that you have a BLAST!

Excluding rides, I'd have to say:

1. Monorail (Does this count as a ride?)
2. Wishes fireworks display at Magic Kingdom
3. Spectromagic (night parade at Magic Kingdom)

This was hard question.

Wishes at MK
Fantasmic at DHS (the park formerly known as MGM)
Festival of the Lion King at AK

1. Visit Germany in the World Showcase on any afternoon. Snow White and Dopey are usually there visiting with the children.
2. See the "Tam Tams" in Africa at the Animal Kingdom, great drums and dancing. They only appear from late morning to early afternoon.
3. Purchase a Mickey ice cream bar from one of the ice cream carts. They're the hardest ice cream bar that I have ever eaten.

Thanks for your replies. My DW is making notes of all your suggestions

All the girls and this one big guy is really starting to get excited.

You HAVE to see Fantasmic! at MGM - this is one of our favorites

Spectromagic parade is truly magic :wizard: and a must see

1. Any character meal
2. IllumiNations at Epcot
3. It's A Small World at MK

Have fun! We'll be there in November too (5-10). Can't wait!!

when in November are you going?

If it's near the end of the month, then you might want to see the special Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, which is a separate admission to MK on certain nights and there will be a special christmas parade, shows, fake snow on the Main Street and things like that.

Other things not to be missed are all the night shows (Fantasmic, Illuminations, Wishes, Spectromagic).

I'll add my 2 cents and say!!!!!!!

Spectormagic

Wishes

Illumnations

Fantasmic

and have a truly MAGICAL time the remaining time.:yay: :yay: :yay:

1. I agree with previous posters. Make sure you catch all the night shows. My favorite is Illuminations, DH favorite is Fantasmic, and DD favorite is Wishes. There is something magical about all of them, and waiting to see the show is a great time to talk about all you great moments of the day.

2. Schedule a character meal. Our entire family loves these. It is a good photo opportunity, so have your camera ready.

3. We always ask our daughter before we go what is her "Disney Wish." (Make sure it is something you can make happen) She always comes up with something like meet Cinderella, ride Splash Mountain, see Spectromagic, you get the idea. I then plan ahead to make sure it happens. She gets her own wish granted each year. I have to say we love it as much as she does. Not many chances in life where we can literally make our children's dreams come true.

Have a wonderful time. pixiedust:

Tickets just arrived in the mail for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. Made the bookking after we watched a Discovery Travel show on WDW at Christmas.

We will be at WDW 21 Nov to 2 Dec.

We watched the same show DizOz. We were originally going in Sept/Oct until we saw that Christmas show...and then changed our dates to 28 Nov-26Dec to fit in with Christmas.

These are some great tips. Sorry I don't have any to share. Been a long time since I was there last.

Character meal
Monorail ride
Downtown Disney

This may sound dumb but remember to relax and enjoy yourself. Sometimes people get so caught up with what they are missing that they don't see what they are doing. Have a great time!!:)
