So next month marks my third trip to Disneyland.

I've been in March, May and this year April

Bobsleds closed for every trip.....Maybe it's just me...actually there are a lot of closures this trip but luckily not too many things that are must do's for me but I am kind of bummed about the Bobsleds.

They were closed 2 of the 3 times I've been! I did get to go on them once, at night. My kiddo jerked forward and bumped her lip on the ride, and it swelled up (but she was 13 and too cool to show pain :smooth: ). Hoping we can go on them this trip in September.

I hope you have a great time in spite of being bobsled-less!

I think the Matterhorn is the one that is down the MOST! My husbands' first trip to DL (and our first trip as a couple) in 2000, it was closed. Closed again in 2006. Closed again in 2013. Finally this past Oct 2015 he got to ride it!! And.....he didn't really enjoy it all that much (too bumpy he says). Go figure! :confused3

I'm so sorry. Matterhorn really is a great ride, especially with the newer refurbs. Keep trying some day you'll make it on.

My impossible ride was Indy! I had been to DL for my senior trip with friends while it was under construction & so sad that it wasn't open yet. I didn't make it back to DL for years & my son was about a quarter inch too short. Then there was the trip where it was under refurb. I finally got to ride it in 2015, so it only took about 20 years.

I've had the same thing but with BTMRR! Last time I went, Mattherhorn was supposed to be down until the following week but it opened early, on our last night during the fireworks! Not gonna lie, I ditched my family and rode single rider about 4 times!! You never know...it could happen! I'll cross my fingers for you!

I can sympathize with what you're saying OP. When we began planning our trip we knew a bunch of things would be closed because of Star Wars Land, but since then additional attractions, like the Matterhorn, Jungle Cruise, and the Monorail have been added to the list. And yesterday, I found out we won't be able to do the California Story Tour because it's going dark starting the week we are there! It's extremely disappointing as this is probably our only trip from the east coast. With so many things closed for the construction of SWL you would think that they would want to have everything else running.

I'm sorry you keep missing The Matterhorn; it's my favorite ride!

I had the same issue with IASW the first three times we went to DLR.

I feel your pain, OP... We keep missing Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. DD hasn't been able to ride since she was 4!

Every time I hear horror stories of rides and attractions being closed, I have to wonder if the Disney gods were shining down on me and my partner's first ever trip to the parks last year. Everything was pretty much open and running sans Peter Pan (which we will hit this upcoming trip) but we got to ride any and everything thing we wanted. Prior to heading out to the parks last year I kept reading about closures and break downs of rides but amazingly nothing of the sort happened to us. *hoping the Disney Gods will shine down on you real soon!!!*

That is so disappointing for you! I just found out Jungle Cruise is NOT reopening next week. They bumped it back another month so we will miss it. I just like that one for nostalgia and really wanted to do it with my first-timer kids.

Hope you get your ride asap...

About 20 years from now, when your back and neck slightly ache, you'll think back to this year and be thankful that your back and neck only hurt a little instead of the mountain of pain the Matterhorn brings to our future selves.

Well since I already have neck pain I might have a guardian ride closing angel hahaha

Although I will say I've never had a problem with most of the Disney Rides but I don't always ride WDW Space Mountain because I find it very rough on my neck, and I kind of feel the same way about Dinosaur.
