we have hit the 5 day mark for our trip. It seems like when I started this report 34 days was a lifetime. Now its only 5 days away. Crazy huh? In other news, I did laundry and started packing. So far the only things in my suitcase are 3 pairs of jeans, 3 tshirts, my beach bag and my swim suit. lol. I have a long way to go to get everything in there. We have almost everything set up. We've bought supplies for the trip out and the truck has been serviced (I'll let DBF tell you about that. ) All that's left to do is finish packing and count down the days.

My turn

Truck got his oil changed on Friday, he drink Amsoil 15W-30 Diesel/Marine oil about 10 quarts worth. Along with new drink, he got his windshield replaced and new tries are on the way. Old tires are in the bed of the truck waiting to get changed. Gonna try out the new BFG KM2s 35/12.50/17. Hope they aren't too loud on the way out there. Other than that, I'm waiting to do the fuel, air, and spin on Alli filter when the new tires are on and aligned.

As for tuning:
I've got 5 tunes ready to be tested on the way out there. They should yield close to +20mpg, first tune just has boost lowered to 3 lbs above atmospheric pressure, second has previous adjustment and increased timing (2 Crank angle degrees above stock) in the cruising range. Third has previous 2 adjustments and lowered fuel rail pressure to about 60-70 Mpa in the cruising range. Fourth has previous 3 adjustments and a pulse width of 700-900 uS in the cruising range.

blabbermouth and kaoden39, thanks for joining. I'm glad you enjoyed reading my report. DBF does enjoy taking over my thread on occasion but I don't mind. He knows his tech stuff pretty darn well. I hope that the TR turns out just as good as the PTR. We'll everybody, we have 4 days left until our trip. The truck got new tires today and is scheduled to have an alignment in the next couple of days. Well, that's all for now. I'll update more later.

My DH is like that about his bicycles and I have learned to tune it out when he talks about them. It is a learned talent. I learned it when I was younger because my dad was like that about cars and football. Oh yeah, I know all about it.
