3 sisters + 2 worlds=5 days of Orlando fun! An Aug. '10 TR...final thoughts p. 45

Aren't Disney fireworks just the best?! You can't get more magical than ending a Disney day with a parade and fireworks :goodvibes

Great way to end the night! I loved the Nightastic fireworks too! Love the part where the pirates storm the castle.

I loved the Nighttastic fireworks. We missed the Pirate and Princess Parties, so they were new to us. I was bummed DH missed them, I think he would have liked them.

I like wishes, but I hope the continue to change it up a little!

Love your MSEP pictures!! So glad you got to see it!:goodvibes The delay would have made me a little nervous too!!;)

Great picture of Main Street and the castle all lit up!! There is nothing like seeing MK at night....so magical!!:cloud9:

Sounds like it was a perfect evening!:thumbsup2

Sounds like a perfect way to end the night! I wish I could have seen these, I missed them by 16 days. All well - Wishes didn't disappoint. ;)

So last time I had an AP I registered it on the Disney site and still NEVER got a Mickey Monitor. I am an AP holder again and I WANT MY MAGAZINE! :rotfl: Is there a trick to it? Do you have to call too?

A nice end to what sounds like a great Magic Kingdom day. Looking forward to DHS.

I wish i could have seen the nightastic fireworks, they look really cool! Sounds like a perfect end to a great day :)

Sounds like a lovely evening!

I love, love, love the fireworks at P&PP!!! Those are definitely the best fireworks I've ever seen!

Just got caught up! You know what? I've been to Disney like 15 time and I don't think I've seen a rope drop before! Last trip, we did EMH every morning except our DHS day and we got there right as the park opened. I will have to put at MK rope drop on my list for next trip, your video made it look like so much fun! Can't wait to hear more!

They are the best. The first time my friend went she got back and said they were the best fireworks she's ever seen. I just love how they have the music and synch the fireworks to it. Amazing.

Yeah, that part was cool too!

Glad you enjoyed the fireworks. I really think I might like those better than Wishes.

I would have been so disappointed if it ended up being cancelled. It was funny because my dad read that update and said we never told him the MSEP was delayed and he said he would've been nervous too after waiting for so long.

I agree, I almost prefer the MK at night just because of all the lights!

So the MSEP parade is still going on but the fireworks aren't? Or is Spectromagic back now too?

Hmm, I didn't do anything to get my Mickey Monitor other than buy the AP. They just sent it to me. LOL. That's weird you never got one.

It was a great ending to our first whole day there. :thumbsup2

Bummer you missed the fireworks! It was a great show.

:scared1: YES, you must do the MK rope drop! The show is so adorable and so much fun!

Happy Saturday everyone! Before I get on with my next update, I have some non-trip related but still Disney related things to share.

First off, you all know I am slightly obsessed with vinylmation. In my PTR I mentioned how there was going to be a Toy Story series. I was kind of bummed that they still weren't available in the parks when we were there but I still wanted to get some so a couple weeks ago I decided to check out ebay. I really wanted to get the Buzz Lightyear figure but apparently he is a sought-after figure. All of the ebay sellers rip you off...they were all asking for close to $30!! :scared1::eek: Sorry it's a cool figure and all but there's no way I'm paying $30 for one vinylmation. So I ended up with these two:

How cool are they?! Love them! I still would like to get the Buzz Lightyear one so if anybody happens to come across one, you know who to notify. ;) haha

Also, last Sunday we went to the Brewers game. Thanks to jwwi, I found out that the Brewers All Star Mickey was now at Miller Park! So before the game we had to go find him.

Here he is!

He looks just like my mini Mickey statue I got a while back! He was also quite popular. There were so many people who wanted to get their picture by him (including us!). So that was fun to see.

Hopefully the next update will be done today!

Very cute vinylmations! I bought one of the Toy Story packs and ended up with their secret one the Evil Dr. Ham! Ham looks pretty cute with a bowler cap on

That Mickey is adorable!:cutie:

I love those fireworks! The "Pink! Blue!" bickering always makes me smile. And I love looking at blurry fireworks pictures. Maybe I'm weird, but they always look so funny to me. I have one picture from a few years ago where it looks like red squiggles are attacking us. It makes me laugh.

OMG. I'm not really into Vinylmation, but that Lotso is ADORABLE. Why must that bear be so cute? He's so evil and I want to hate him, but he's just so...so...pink!

Ooh, cool you got the chaser! My dad keeps saying if he got one he would want the Evil Dr. Porkchop.

If you like blurry fireworks pictures then you'd really enjoy all mine! I can never seem to get a decent picture. I think I need a class in how to use my camera.

LOL, I know, he is so cute. The Lotso we met at DHS was so adorable. Why does he have to be so mean?!

Woo hoo, we're finally to day 2! :thumbsup2 And it's only taken a month!

Tuesday morning our plan was to visit Hollywood Studios. We woke up to the sun shining. Yay! After breakfast we headed out to the bus stop. In the summer it's always nice leaving early in the morning before it starts to get REALLY humid. The temperature was pretty comfortable at that time, but it didn't last. Claire got a shot of our building from the bus stop. You can actually see where our room was too...I'm pretty sure it was the one to the right of those two poles. :) You could always see the buses coming and going from our room.

We didn't have to wait too long for a bus to DHS.

Before long we arrived at the gate!

Since the lines were pretty much already to the ticket windows, I figured we'd be going in soon. I used Dad's theory that once the lines get that far back they start letting people onto Hollywood Boulevard. hehe Sure enough, they soon started letting people through the turnstiles. It's always funny when they open the gates to see people scrambling to get to the "shorter" line so they get in faster. Is it really going to make that big of a difference? I guess to some people it is. But we were soon out on Hollywood Boulevard ready to begin the day!

And from Emma's point of view. She's a little bit shorter than me, hehe.

After the quick opening show in which we were all cast as extras in a new movie, we headed off with the masses to...what else? Toy Story Mania!

Emma got a picture of the sign outside the building. I love how you can tell which flavor popsicle came on each stick! ;)

Our usual plan of attack for TSM is to ride it first and then go back and get fastpasses. It worked like a charm in April so we hoped it would work again. As we were getting in line, there were several families who were all split up, just like always. It's like somebody races ahead to get a better spot in line and then the rest of the group is lagging behind. Seriously, people is it that hard to stick together?! Nothing annoys me more than people who squeeze their way through saying their families are up ahead of them. Whatever.

It took us about 10-15 minutes to make it through the queue and to the loading area.

Getting closer!
58608_658184281464_20305212_37569125_6552421_n.jpg

I was excited to see the updated version of the ride and try out the new game featuring Rex and Trixie. Since there were three of us, one of us had to go alone. Emma ended up by herself (well, not totally by herself, she was with another rider, haha) and Claire and I rode together. It doesn't matter how many times I ride TSM, I always get excited to do it again. I think part of it has to do with the fact that you can always try to beat your old scores. It's just so fun! Soon we were spinning and twirling into the midway games. In the warmup game I didn't try too hard because I needed to save up my arm strength for the actual points! LOL. I figured maybe that would keep my arm from being so tired at the end. I can't remember the order of the games but the Dino Darts game was fun! It was basically set in a prehistoric scene with volcanoes and lava bursts and of course it featured some of the effects like the other games.

In the end, these were our scores:
58608_658184291444_20305212_37569127_6873902_n.jpg

My score is the one on the left. Woo hoo! Notice though how my sister's accuracy was way better. :rolleyes1 I guess that sort of tells you how I play the game. I just pull that trigger like a Toy Story maniac. I think Claire was kind of annoyed with me because she said I never leave any of the big targets for her. Oops. There were also a few changes to the prize scene at the end...they had some of the new characters from TS3 featured as well, like Mr. Pricklepants. I tried to get a picture but by the time I thought to do that and get my camera out and turned on, the screen already changed. Boo. But, the ride was fun as usual. When we got outside the fastpass line was WAY down so we were able to get some fastpasses for around noon or so. Perfect! We'd be able to go enjoy some other attractions and then come back to try again.

up next: What made that lady nearly fall over at Tower of Terror???

I love the rope drop at DHS! Idk why but it just gets me so pumped for day

Good TSM score! I liked the new games but the ride itself was very slow and stopped a lot when we rode it :sad2: I was very excited to see Mr. Pricklepants!

Can't wait to hear your TOT story!

Nothing like a little Toy Story Mania to get a DHS day off to a great start. And the weather looks great too.

I definitely agree with your plan of attack with TSM. Ride first and then the FP line has gone down. We've done it both ways, and definitely like your way best. Great score by the way!

People get crazy in that TSM herd! I thought I was going to get ran over more than once! :headache:

Love the pics though once you got there. I just love that ride. I think it's too short!
