Okay Sarah so now I need to get one of those vinylmation keychains and I don't even collect vinylmation characters-they are just too neat! Are they expensive??? Also, Saratoga Springs looks beautiful! Peaceful comes to mind.

Enjoyed the update. Looks like there are some great views of the Characters in Flight balloon from Saratoga. It seems to fit fairly well with the ambiance of the resort.

You never know what you're going to see if you look up, especially in those Downtown Disney shops.

Hi everyone! Sorry for the lack of another update/responding to your comments but the last two days have been super busy. There were teacher inservices so those pretty much filled my days. I don't have to go in anymore until next Wednesday when school starts so hopefully over the weekend I can do a couple more updates.

I do have a funny story though. One of my good friends from college and her husband just got back from Disney World. I sent her a message telling her I hoped they had a good time...she responded and said they had a wonderful time and she thinks she was bitten by the Disney bug. She is already wanting to go back. I love it! Just thought that was cute that she said that. She is starting to sound like me! Just had to share. hehe

A great first night! SSR is really convenient to DTD so that worked out great! Love the details from the Team Mickey store. I'm going to look closer next time I go in there.

Yeah, it was nice that we could get there quickly and it was a fun alternative to going to a park even though we might've wanted to. Oh well, we are in the parks so much anyway it's a nice change of pace!

Vinylmations on key chains is a brilliant idea! I love the surprise of not knowing what you're going to get when you buy it.

I agree with you on Ghiradelli- I could sit in the shop and smell chocolaty goodness all day!

Not knowing is part of the thrill but it kind of sucks when you get one you don't really want. I guess that's what you get though for buying them though!

Ooo, I love the closeness to DTD! That's one thing I thought about in terms of choosing a DVC place. I was interested in having it close to something. However, I think for our Disneymoon, it'll be fun to have a resort that's a bit more secluded and exotic!

Oh cool! I saw the decorations in Team Mickey, but I didn't see Tigger all the way at the top about to dunk the basketball! I think Matt would really like that since he's obsessed with the sport.

I had to look at the Disneystore site to see what the other Vinylmation Jr series looked like. You're right! Every single one of them is so cute! I think I'll get one of those next time! Woohoo for $19 on breakfast! When I was checking our breakfast platter prices at Mara, I was like, whoa, that's a lot of money! Weird and I will probably split something and then eat an earlier lunch and snack in the park instead of spending so much money on breakfast. Then I'm sure I'll have leftovers from places that we can munch on the next morning because I think food-food tastes better in the morning and breakfast food tastes even better at night!

I agree, AKL would be a good choice. Too bad the Poly isn't DVC...that would be awesome.

We like to split stuff too. Even though we are all adults now those portions can be huge! We've almost done away with getting fries because they give you so many! Plus I feel bad wasting food...some people throw so much out. Hope that doesn't make me sound like a dork but it is so bad how much is wasted!

Yay, I just finished reading!!! I wish that we had SW near us The closest airports are nearly 2 hours away. After a 2 hour flight, the last thing I want to do is get into a car for another 2 hours Glad to see you went to DTD on the first night. I wondered if you ended up there or YC/BC!!!

I'm trying to think of the rain that day?? I think it rained in the afternoon when we were inside Coral Reef but I think that's it?? Maybe it rained while we were at YC that afternoon too haha.

It is nice having the airport being so close. It would drive me nuts having to travel to get to the airport and then go on the plane! Yup, we ended up choosing DTD!

Yeah, it was raining off and on all afternoon from the moment we got to MCO.

Loving the DTD update!! The new Vinylmation shop is so cool!!! the Balloon was grounded when we were there on Sat the 14th too!

D-Street is cool. Vinylmation heaven! haha, I think the balloon is grounded more often than not.

That little walk from SSR to DTD is SO nice. I love that about that resort!

The Farve picture made me laugh out loud. What is the status of him anyway? Is he returning to football this year or did he retire? I OBVIOUSLY don't keep up...

I meant to tell you too, one of the "99 cent and up" stores in my neighborhood sells fake Vinylmation Jrs! When I saw them I instantly thought of you. They are not as cute as the real thing, but still cute and only a buck!

Thanks for joining in! It was really fun going to WDW just the three of us. We had talked about it but never got around to doing it. Hopefully you can do it with your sisters in a few years.

Vinylmation is a new craze, sort of like pin trading. They are these little vinyl/plastic Mickey figurines that come in blindboxes so you don't know which one you are getting. It is like a mystery. There are all different designs too...they're pretty fun and quite addicting.

You can walk or take a boat. The boat usually takes a little longer but is better if you are staying in some of the other sections. The walkway is convenient if you're in Congress Park or the Paddock (atleast the building we were in). We LOVE Saratoga Springs!

LOL! Yeah, get one! They are kind of expensive actually, especially for something that is blindboxed. They're almost the same price as the regular ones (regulars are $9.95 and the jrs are $8.95...I guess the keycain really increases the value ). I have no self-control.

There are lots of great views of ALL of DTD from Saratoga Springs. I remember on one of our other stays when we were in Congress Park our balcony overlooked the Marketplace. So cool.

LOL, sadly they are not returnable and they make that quite clear on all the displays and on the boxes. They do have trading though!

Yes, I am in the same district as summer school. Maybe I saw your daughter and didn't even know it.

It was kind of like a slumber party. Just lots of randomness but so much fun. We did the same thing when we went to NYC last year. I'm sure my parents were glad they had their own room.

Yeah, we were actually pretty happy with our location. Luckily once we got to DTD the rain had stopped for the night so that was good. Just made getting to our room interesting.
