3 Real Moms Magical Wishes Weekend

Ok this is my first pre-trip/trip report. I do think I started one a couple years ago but never got past the beginning. I hope to do better than this. I have come here to the DIS as my DH has heard enough jabber about all things Disney. He likes it, but is not an addict and thinks my obsession a little odd.

Here goes, for some privacy reasons real names will not be used and I do not think I will add pictures--maybe later of food and stuff. I should start by stating how the three of us know one another and how the trip came about.
The Cast

Belle--thats me, I am lover of all things Disney and would go there several times a year if possible. I am a thirty something mother of DS5. DH is fun likes sports,4x4 and all things boy--not going on trip. I am outgoing and crazy. I am usually game for anything even if a little silly. OK actually the sillier the better. I was the suggester of the trip and am also the planner.

Ariel--Likes Disney, has had a couple trips in her lifetime, one earlier this year. She is a forty something mother of DS9 and DS12. All things boy at her house--boy scouts, robots, rockets etc. Type A--big time and worked as team leader in computers in her prior non SAHM life. Her DH is an outdoors kind of guy and again all thing boy--not going on trip. She is very fun, normally a planner and has decided that she is taking a vacation and is therefore doing NONE, yes folks that is NONE of the planning.

Cinderella--was to be Aurora but then I could not locate a sleeping beauty pin so she was switched to Cindy. She does not know that yet. She will have a lot to live up to being the princess of all pricesses. She has not been to disney except for a brief trip as child she has little to no recollection of. Twenty something mom of DD6, DS4, DD3 ahhhhh yes finially some princess knowledge. Her DH is really great guy down to earth, likes computers and some sports--not going on trip. She is also Type A, bright and a busy mom, in her prior SAHM life she was in HR and management. She has participated some in planning, but is still leaving most of it to me.

2 side characters--The Queen and The Princess---These would be the mother of Cinderella and DD3 of CInderella who will be coming to the World to meet up with daughter/mom for a few days after myself and Ariel leave.

2 Honorary character--Snow White we desperately wanted her to come with us--she is indeed the life of the party, but alas DH and her 3DSs could not part with her. Jasmine--went and got pregnant so cannot make the trip even though she would love to, and has begged. Did I state earlier I am still working part time unlike my travelling partners and am a L&D nurse. I have refused her request to travel with us. Her DH and DS and DD and D? need her healthy and home.

SOoooooo, how do we know one another and how did this all come to be. We three have participated in a small group through a womans ministry at our church called Real Moms. It is great and we have been in a small group together for a couple years now. So even though I may state I am crazy, it is all relative. It won't exactly be a What Happens in Disney Stays in Disney kind of trip--but I am still planning a round of something yummy to imbibe from a pineapple before dinner at Kona. Well I had just returned from an April Spring break trip--had the fever or the itch or whatever you want to call it. Free DDP was announced so when at small group I said Hey who wants to go to disney--I bet I can get it worked out for about 5-600bucks each. I never dreamed I would have anybody take me up on this but within the week there were 3 of us comfirmed.

I truly am a Disney fanatic and they decided it would be cool to travel with one. I sent info to them to choose resort, dining all the importants stuff and was basically told whatever you think is best. Ariel just gave me her credit card number and said let her know when to show up. We leave in 9 days and I do not think she still knows where we are staying, eating, travelling etc....... Cinderella has looked at a few things and had some imput, but not much. That left me the NOT Type A except for Disney planning to have a free for all within budget for the trip. On to the plans..................

WE"RE NOT COOKING TONIGHT!!!!! As we are all moms and mostly home driven as opposed to career driven (by choice and we like it that way), Free DDP was one of the biggest appeals of the trip. To get to go to a restaurant, order whatever we like, not look at the price, not cut any of it up for anyone, not have to share it 'cause it looks better than theirs and eat it while it is still hot is high on our list of a good time. It doesn't take to much to get us excited. I was origionally looking into POP for us but decided we would have a nicer trip bumping up to a moderate. Budget approved and we are staying at PORFQ 8/31-9/4. We decided it would be easier for our DHs if we were gone over a holiday weeked. One less day of school to be responsible for. Cinderella and Ariels kids got settled into school last week and mine started this week so we should be good to go. We have Dinner planed at Chefs de France, Kona, Mama Melrose's and Boma. There is also one special meal that is a surprise for the others as it was planned by me. My mom asked if there was anything on the trip I would like to do and she would cover it as a gift for my birthday. I asked her if I could call her right back, hung up and called Disney Dining and asked about availilblity of the coveted Cinderella's Table. As we were well within the 180 day window I was not holding out much hope. I got lucky and we will be having breakfast with the princesses. I know this will seem silly to some, but this is Cinderellas first trip essentially and Ariel hasn't gotten to do a girly thing in her adult life. I have scroll invitations to present to them the night before. Attire is listed as tiara required--and I have those too. So if you are at CRT on Sept 1 and see 3 crazy women wearing tiaras say HI. I have also bought pink sparkly frames for the pictures in the picture package. Anyway, my mom covered the bill so I think it will be quite the magical time. Well I must stop dreaming of being a princess for now and go back to reality and take care of some of the MOM duties. I will add more info when I find my fairy godmother next..............
