3 questions about Le Cellier

1. the kids menu states $2 extra for steak, is this xtra charge covered under the DP or this OOP? $2, no biggie but just curious.

2. can I substitute the side that comes w/ the steaks (rissotto, potatoes) for fries? I asked this before on another post but got no clear answer.

3. menu says cheese soup can be an appetizer for the kids meal, is this true?

1. You will not have to pay the extra $2.00 if you are on the DP.
2. I am sure you could substitute during lunch. I am not sure if fries are on the dinner menu? If they are, I am sure it wouldn't be a problem. If they are not, then they might not allow it.
3. Yes. The children can get the cheese soup as an appetizer.

thanx so much, yes it is during lunch. my son will want fries instead of yukon potatoes and want to make sure this won't be a problem, I read on another post that some waiter refused to eliminate a topping from a pizza at Via Napoli and was just wondering how strict Le Cellier is about things like this.

From reading dozens of reviews, it seems Le Cellier accommodates nearly any side dish substitution. I see people switching mashed potatoes for fries or potatoes au gratin all the time!

I was on the dining plan when I was there 2 weeks ago and I didn't have to pay the $2 upcharge for my daughter getting the steak. In fact anytime we ordered something that had an upcharge we didnt get hit with the charge.

I'd like another steak as my side please. Dipped in the soup, stuffed with the pretzel bread.

I was on the dining plan when I was there 2 weeks ago and I didn't have to pay the $2 upcharge for my daughter getting the steak. In fact anytime we ordered something that had an upcharge we didnt get hit with the charge.

We have always had to pay the upcharges either at Le Cellier or Marrakesh for our meals.you were lucky!

They will accommodate switching the sides to any side that is served with another entree. If fries are served with another entree it will be permitted.

They will not allow you to switch your side for any side that is available only on the separate sides menu.

Happened to me! The kiddo wanted to try it but didn't like it - WOOHOO! I enjoyed it very much !

I think it depends on what servers you get and what mood they might be in, but we've eaten there on three separate occasions (2 dinners, 1 lunch) and never had a problem with anything that you listed. We've never had to pay the $2 upcharge on DDP, and we've always been able to substitute with no problems. And, I always sneak a few (dozen) bites of my son's soup that comes with his entree!

Like a pp state, you can subsitute the sides as long as it is offered with another dish. i wanted to sub the potatoe with mac & cheese and I couldn't, no big deal, but I asked and they said no, so just be aware of something like that.
