3 people max in Royal Pacific suite!!?!??!

that makes NO sense!! We always get suites b/c we like to have a separate sleeping area for the kids. So I called to ask about the king suite and am told 3 people max in that room. WTH? So it's ok for 4 of us to stay in a regular room but not in a suite that is double the size???? That's too bad, they just lost out on a customer. (yes, I know about the kid's suites, I'm not paying that much $$$ for a room)

Those are the fire regulations. I don't believe that the hotel makes those rules. Try emailing the hotel directly and see if you get a different answer.

It makes sense to me, becuase normally a King bed would sleep 2 Adults. Okay many of us have kids that like to sleep in the bed too but normally you sleep 2 people per bed. A rollaway is usually only big enough for 1 person to sleep on and you can't get 2 of those in there so therefore the 3 people.

Now, if there was a pull out sleep sofa then that would be different as well. When we stay at the Wolf Lodge a normal room with 2 Queen beds sleep 6 but a King room will sleep 4 becuase of the pull out sleeper sofa is queen size so it sleeps 2.

Also, when we stayed there I booked a last minute room for my brother his GF and 2 kids and all they had to book was a King Room and allowed it. When we checked in they were able to switch to a Double room instead.

It is based on the number of beds, not the size of the room. I don't believe that a sofa bed is even counted as a bed.

Different areas have different regulations. What may be acceptable in one town is not necessary acceptable in another. When we were in LA, we weren't even allowed to have a cot in the room.

interesting. the All star family suites just have a queen bed and a pull out sofa (and 2 sleeper chairs) and they allow either 5 or 6. Oh well, bummer.......

But they aren't in mid Orlando. There will be different regulations.

That doesn't make any sense! My family of five fit comfortably in a regular room.

If you think it's bad that the King Suite only allows 3 people, so does the Graceland Suite and it is 2000 square feet. You can book the adjoining bedroom with 2 queen beds and then they allow 5 more people but only 3 without the extra bedroom. It's a matter of fire codes.
