3 pairs of Minnie ears and Stalking Thumper~My first TR 5/6-5/11 *UPDATE 6/13, pg 14*

I have such mixed feelings about the changes to MK. I'm going to try my best not to be biased!

I just hope the houses are still open in October; we didn't have a chance to go through them last year!!

Now, Brady would definitely ride that if Jonas was on it! He should be a 14 yr old girl with the way he loves Jonas! And yes, this is a Jonas mama thanks to him!:rotfl:

Lol, that's ok, you're allowed to like them if you have kids! :rotfl: (And don't tell anyone, but I secretly LOVE Miley Cyrus...I blast "Party in the USA" in my car all the time! :rolleyes1)

HI! Joining in!! Congrats on your marriage and your Disneymoon! :goodvibesI wish I would have known how much I loved Disney when I got married and I could have gone there for mine  I loved your picture with Marie! She is my DD's favorite. Great job on your TR!

Thank you! I kind of had to beg for the Disneymoon, I mean, DH said no so much that I almost accepted it and gave up and settled for us going to Cape Cod for 4 days. :scared1: We were also going to do to Disneyland, I almost had that trip booked, but I felt like it just wouldn't give me my Disney fix, so I asked for Disney World one last time and he gave in! :rotfl:

OH! I forgot to say that I saw your ticker and we are going to be in WDW for the holidays too! Are you going to write a PTR? I hope so :santa:

I am going to start a PTR, probably this weekend, I can't wait, I love PTR's, it's so much fun reading about everyone's plans! I joined yours right? I thought I did...:confused3

I know what you mean, I'm really excited about the new Fantasyland, but at the same time, I wish they could keep Toontown! I hope the houses are open for you in October, I actually hope they are open in November too, so I can see Minnie's house one last time! :cool1:

Hi guys! Guess I'll do an update. :sad1: I'm running out of things to talk about with this trip, it's really almost over!

After getting our Winnie the Pooh FP's, we did something DH wanted to do for once! :rotfl: Hall of Presidents! We walked through Fantasyland to Liberty Square

IMG_1117.jpg

(I love that tree, especially at night, when it's all lit up!)

and went inside, where there was a pretty large group of people waiting. It was pretty hot out by then so I was happy to be in the AC! I wanted to cool off a little, but Brandon likes looking at all the stuff they have in the waiting area so he wandered off. :confused3

I wanted a good picture of this for some reason

IMG_1119.jpg

but that guy sitting there ruined it, so I gave up!

IMG_1120.jpg

He was seriously the only one looking at this stuff, everyone else was crowding the doors, waiting to get the best seat! :sad2:

Once the doors opened, we hung back and waited for the crowd to go in and find their perfect seats, and Brandon said he wanted to sit in the front. So thinking he meant the actual front row, I lead us right down to the front and center of the theater and sit down, when he tells me he didn't mean the front row! :rolleyes1 Whatever, too late to move now! There were maybe 2 other people in that row so we had it to ourselves!

Hall of Presidents was good, as it always is, it's entertaining and a nice way to cool off in the middle of a hot day! In November when we saw it I was exhausted and fell asleep during it, so it was nice to actually stay awake through the whole thing this time! :rotfl2:

After Presidents, Brandon decided he was hungry, so I asked him what he wanted and he said a burger. You would think after all the months I spent on the DIS boards and with all the Disney guidebooks I've read I would know a little more about counter service places in MK. But I was drawing a blank, I couldn't think of anywhere to go...so I checked my WDW dining Iphone app and found Pecos Bill's, and suggested that to him. He said it sounded ok so we went there.

I wasn't really hungry yet so he just got lunch, even though I had some of his fries. I also tried his cheeseburger, which had barbecue sauce on it, which I didn't like too much, but other than that, it was ok. It was absolutely packed, we had to wait for people to leave a table and grab it the second they got up to leave! :rotfl: Next time, if we do a QS in MK, I'll probably stick with Columbia Harbor House, or get a turkey leg! :rotfl:

For some reason, in my notes I don't have that we walked through Adventureland and got Dole Whips, but I could swear we did, because I remember the line not being very long, and sitting where we sat the 2nd day of our trip when we got them! :confused3 Unless I imagined it...but I'm pretty sure that's why I didn't get lunch, because I just wanted a snack, and I wanted my snack to be a Dole Whip! :rotfl:

Anyway, after we did or did not get Dole Whips, we went back to Winnie the Pooh for our FP return! :woohoo:

We basically walked right on with our FP's, even though the stand by time was at least 30 minutes! We got into our honey pots (I love that you travel by honey pot in this ride!) and I tried taking some pictures, but they didn't come out that good

IMG_1122.jpg

I love the Heffalumps and Woozles part!

IMG_1126.jpg

IMG_1127.jpg

Lol, I had to get a picture of Pooh stuck in a tree!

IMG_1130.jpg

After the Winnie the Pooh ride, we decided to say goodbye to MK. :sad1: I made it a point to walk through the castle and up Main Street coming from the castle. I walked slowly, trying to stay in MK as long as possible...but eventually, we came to the end, and we had to get on the tram and go back to our car. :sad2: We only had one more park left of our Disneymoon, but before that, we had to pack everything and go to dinner at Cape May Cafe, which was Brandon's choice.

*Sigh* I probably only have 1 more TR update left, MAYBE 2 if I really try! This is almost as sad as my Disneymoon ending! :rotfl:

Well...up next, Cape May Cafe and DHS extra magic hours, the perfect end to our Disneymoon!

I loved reading your trip report! Your pics are awesome and I always love when pixie dust happens on trips! Can't wait to read the end of it and also congrats on your wedding! :goodvibes

great pics from Winnie the Pooh! I just LOVED that TIGGER! Can't wait to hear about the perfect ending! :goodvibes

The Tigger part is so cute, I love how it seems like the hunny pot bounces! :)

Thank you, :welcome:! I will probably be updating a little later today, then again tomorrow and that should bring me to the end, but I'm not sure. Maybe I'll just do little mini updates and keep this going as long as possible! :rotfl:

Somehow I got "unscribed" from your report. I have to go back and start reading it all over again from the beginning.

More awesome pics! I hate that it's almost over, but at least we have your PTR to look forward to! :woohoo:

Liberty Square is so cool. I think it is one of my favorite parts of MK. I'm not sue why, I just love the feeling I get when I walk through that part. And I love HM, so that helps! :rotfl:

Yum...I love Columbia Harbor House. I have never tried Pecos Bill's because I love that place so much it's where we always eat! But I have heard good things about Pecos Bill's burgers!

Can't wait to hear about your perfect ending!! :goodvibes

I love Liberty square too! And I'm not sure why either, maybe it is because of HM or just because I like that time period (colonial America), but I really like it! :)

I definitely like CHH better than Pecos Bill's, but Brandon wanted a burger so that's where we ended up! :confused3 It didn't really affect me too much, since I knew I wasn't getting anything! :)

I guess I should stop putting it off and do an update...I'm being ridiculous about this TR and not wanting it to end, my trip was almost a month ago already, it's time to move on, right? :rotfl:

This update is going to be picture-less, because it's just about our dinner at Cape May, so I apologize in advance! I don't know why I didn't take pictures but...I don't know, I just didn't think of it! :rolleyes1

After MK we returned to BC to pack. Our flight was at 8 am the next day which means we had to leave BC at around 6ish, so there would be no time to pack in the morning, everything had to be done and we had to be out! So I packed and Brandon tried to help, but I ended up doing it all because he just kept getting in my way, so he took a shower instead! :sad2:

When I finished our packing, I think I tried to take a quick nap but it didn't really work out, so we got ready and heading down to Cape May Cafe where we had a 5:00 reservation.

We checked in and waited maybe 5 minutes before we were seated. Our server explained to us how it worked and he took our drink orders and we went up to the buffet.

Omg, there is SO much food to choose from at this place! It was crazy! I took so much-pasta, chicken, ribs, and these pesto mashed potatoes that looked fantastic. Brandon got even more than I did, he got a lot of the seafood, which is the whole reason he wanted to go there-we walked through BC on the way to Captain's Grille last year and he saw the huge buffet and how it was almost all seafood and wanted to just walk in and start eating!:rotfl2:

Everything I had was good, but those pesto mashed potatoes were amazing...so good that when Brandon got up to get seconds, I asked him to get me more mashed potatoes! I was absolutely stuffed by then, and I should not have eaten anymore, but it was too late and ate them!

Of course that was a bad idea, eating more when I was stuffed, because I started not feeling too good! Not like the night after Tony's, but just that gross feeling you get when you eat too much...not ok! Brandon was feeling that way too...so we went to the Marketplace to get some Pepto! He started talking to the CM and told her that we just finished eating at Cape May, and the CM laughed and said they always sell out of Pepto because of that place! :rotfl:

We started feeling a little better, so we were ready to go over to DHS for extra magic hours. We were considering taking the boat over, but it was a lot faster to drive, considering it was right across the street. So we got in the car and drove over to DHS and got ready for our last night in a park of our Disneymoon! :sad1::sad1::sad1:

Up next...fun at DHS and pictures, I promise! :cool1:

Hi! I followed the link in your signature from your post on my TR.

You and I are alike in that I like to pack as much as I can into my trips, too! I always tell my bunch, "You can sleep when you get home!"

Sounds like you had a good trip, and great luck on getting upgraded to club level! :thumbsup2 AND, now you have a new trip to plan for---Sounds great to me!

Okay...I'm all caught up. I'm just loving your trip report -- you guys are so cute. I LOVE Tigger...and the Pooh ride is one of my favorites. I hate when people walk in front of me during Wishes...it really aggravates me. Since I'm stretching out my PTR since we are only going for four days, I'll be better at keeping up with everyone else's reports. :)

Packing to go home is always such a bummer. No matter how long you're there you feel like you've moved in! :sad2:

I have never had Cape May but I have heard a lot about it lately. I guess I need to try it because I love seafood and those mashed potatos sounds awesome! :thumbsup2

Yay! One last visit to DHS! I hope you rode ToT!! ;)

Now that I am caught up on the trip report, I ♥ ♥ ♥ your thumper pictures! Adorable! I will be stalking Thumper when I go in July. I am cracking up at all the things your hubby is doing "wrong"...so much like mine! Why do they always mess up our plans? LOL Can't wait to read the rest! Such a fun trip and you look great by the way in all the pics! :cool2:

That picture of Brandon eating the bamboo cracks me up everytime I see it.

It's sad you're coming to the end but at least you have another trip to look foward to. I know you say you will stay at a moderate but I kept envisioning you at WL again. Maybe you'll win $800 on a lottery ticket.

Hi, thanks for coming over!

I always tell myself that during our next trip, we'll take it easy, relax, go at a slow pace, and it never happens that way! There's just so much to do and see, I hate missing anything! :)

We had a great trip, and getting upgraded was fun, something I never thought would happen to me! :cool1:

Aww, thank you! :) I don't mind moving for people during Wishes, but this time it was ridiculous, it totally ruined it for me!

Ugh, packing to go home is the worst! And I always feel like I'm forgetting something in the room so I make myself crazy checking things over and over...:confused3

Cape May is really good, I love the variety of food! And their desserts looked awesome, but we were too stuffed to even try anything! Just make sure you don't eat too much when you go, or you will end up feeling like I did!

Lol...yeah, you could say I rode ToT one last time! :rolleyes1

Yay, thank you, definitely try to find Thumper, he and Miss Bunny are two of the cutest characters at WDW!

I don't know why he did that with the bamboo, he's strange. :rotfl:

Yeah it would be nice to win the lottery and spend it all on Disney! Except if that happened, I'd probably upgrade to the Poly, now I really want to stay there! :upsidedow

Last day of our Disneymoon continued! :sad1::sad1::sad1:

After finishing our dinner and drinking our Pepto  we drove over to DHS. We quickly parked and went in, as lots of people were coming out! Good sign, I was hoping the magic hours wouldn't be too busy!

I wanted to do RnRC and ToT immediately, but we thought we should wait a little while and do a calmer ride first, considering we just ate! So we decided to do the Great Movie Ride!

I love the GMR, I love all the old movie set recreations, I wish more people liked this attraction, it doesn't seem to be very popular. :confused3 Although, one thing was a little annoying this time...the little storyline that gets acted out through the ride? This time it was a girl mobster chick, and she was just...hmmmm...how can I put this nicely? Not good. I'm sorry, I she was trying very hard to get the part of the early 20th century mobster down, but it just reminded me of one thing, and once I thought of it, that was it, I was distracted by this and kept laughing at her when she talked. Did anyone watch Beverly Hills 90210? Well if you did, you will remember the episode where Brenda takes over Brandon's job at the Peach Pit for a little while and calls herself Laverne and talks in this annoying voice and accent. This mobster girl talked just like Brenda Walsh! And that's all I could think of! :rotfl: I still loved the ride though...I love the Wizard of Oz part!

After the GMR I wanted to see what the wait was for Toy Story Mania. In our last 2 trips, we have not gotten to go on TSM because the wait has always been too long and we never even tried to get FP's. So this time, I wanted to at least try to go on.

We walked over to Pixar Place and DH saw the Journey into Narna thing, and he made me go in. I have no interest in this movie at all, so it was boring to me. :confused3 It was basically a long elaborate movie trailer!

Once that was over we were near TSM...it is adorable over there! :lovestruc

IMG_1133.jpg

Since we have never bothered with TSM we have never been to Pixar Place, so this was all new to me, I loved it! It's so cute! And check out this wait time to TSM:

IMG_1134.jpg

Ok it's a little small, but it says 20 MINUTES!!! That's unheard of! So I asked Brandon if he minded waiting 20 minutes and what does he say? "I'm not 20 minutes for that, let's keep going". :sad2: He has something against this ride, probably because of all the hype, which is why he refuses to go on it. Whatever, I didn't feel like arguing so we just kept walking. Next time though, I'm going on with our without him! :cool1:

We just walked slowly around the park, looking at everything along the way'

IMG_1135.jpg

and took the long scenic way over to the RnRC/ToT area.

IMG_1136.jpg

I don't know why but I can never get a good picture of the Sorcerer's hat

IMG_1137.jpg

I liked how pretty the park was around this time, the sun was starting to go down, but it was still light...I love DHS so much, I love how you really feel like you are in old Hollywood.

IMG_1138.jpg

The buildings just looked so pretty to me! And I love the tall palm trees that line the streets, if I could rip a palm tree out of DHS and bring it home with me to plant in my yard, I would! :)

Finally, we were getting close!

IMG_1139.jpg

Up next...Tower of Terror and RnRC, of course! :cool1:

I am sorry your trip report is about to end, it has been a fun read.popcorn::

Thank you! There is still a little more to go, and I plan on doing a "what i bought in Disney World" update too! Then I'll be starting a PTR for my November trip, so I can't really be too sad! :rotfl2: :cool1:
