Accommodations stop at 2 queens, will pay more for a view if the general consensus is that its worth it. Will also pay a bit more if the Hawaiian place is better than the Italian or the Hard Rock is worth a few bucks more. I know a little about US / IOA but nothing about the onsite hotels. The days leading up to this stay are at a suites place so we don't mind the close quarters for just a few days.

What I'd really like input on is which of the 3 places is more convenient to the parks? Or does it not really matter.

We have 4 full days and 3 nights no car and plan on spending 11ish till 5ish at the pool each day, so which place should I book?

The Hard Rock is the most convenient to the parks. It is generally the middle choice price wise. The Portofino is generally the most expensive and the Royal Pacific the least.

The Portofino and Hard Rock pools both have slides. The Royal Pacific does not.

All hotels are within walking distance of the parks.

14 eh?...our 14 y/o LOVES the Hard Rock!...but he's happy wherever we stay.
The atmosphere is very upbeat..(read LOUD), but this old parent can handle it.

HRH, RP or P-Bay...
No bad choice here...they are all super nice!

Unless I "adjust" my budget, I'm probably gonna hafta do an offsite hotel on this next trip, but my heart will be at Hard Rock.
Didn't hoard my Universal GCs, like I did my Disney ones.
