I'm planning a trip on the Wonder for DH, DD (6) and DS (4). I want the 4 day and DH wants the 3 day (we'll be using our DVC for the "land" part and he wants to maximize points by not staying at WDW over the weekend). Anyway, besides a day at sea, what will we miss out on by choosing the 3 day instead of 4 day? Is there a pirate party on the 3 day?

I have been on two four day cruises...and I can say without a doubt...The best day...was the day at sea.....just my humble opinion....

Personally I would never do the 3 day cruise. Its just to rushed. I did one 4 day cruise and really won't do that again either, I much prefer the 7 day cruise, anything else is to short IMHO

3 was too short for us and it was our first cruise ever. I would definitely go with the 4. We were concerned because we have never been on a cruise before so we did not know how we would "handle" being at sea. It was amazing but too short. I want to book the 7 night when we are onboard in Sept.

You will be missing a day at sea. It is so relaxing. I did a 3 day, a 4 day and now I am going to do a 7 day Western in July. 206 because I want more time at sea and other Islands. :boat:

I love sea days so the extra day makes a difference to me. We did a 3 day on our very first cruise (part of a land/sea in '99) and felt it was too rushed.

I understand your DH's position as far as using the cruise instead of high weekend points.

Either way you are doing WDW and a cruise. Enjoy!

We went on the 3 day back in January and have the 4 day booked for October. I think the day at sea is going to make a huge difference, and I am really excited about it. I have to agree with some of the other posters about the fact that the 3 day is way TOO short. I mean it was a good first cruise for us so that we could get the feel of cruising and be able to tell if we were going to like it or not. But if I already knew that I liked cruising then I would definitely chose the 4 day.
It really seems that as soon as you get the least bit familiar with the ship, then it's time to pack up and go home.

We are doing a 3 day in September since the schedule works best for us.... We would love to have booked a 4 day, but that means missing more school....
You will find that just about everyone here (and on other boards) poo poo's the 3 day cruises. Book the 4 they say..... book the 4.

Some of us cant book the 4....

Some of us are excited to being doing the 3 day cruise.... (even those of us who had to cancel the 14 day transistion cruise, and are now booked on the shortest cruise)

Which ever you decide... be happy with it.

3 day cruises ROCK~!
