Does anyone not go to the shows??? DH isn't really into musical or theatre and if the shows are as loud as the Philharmagic at MK dd won't like it either.....

so I just wondered if people who don't go to the shows feel like they are missing out.

We skipped all the shows on the 3-night last month, and all the shows on the 7-night last November. In Sept I was with a friend who cruised for the first time - we went to 2 shows on the 3-night.

Bottom line - we loved having the time to sit in the non-smoking bar with a glass of wine relaxing before dinner. We chose late dinner to avoid being around kids, and going to a show before dinner just makes no sense to us. I'm cruising on another line next week, and will have late dinner with the show AFTER our dinner - so I expect I will attend several on that cruise.

WE've skipped th shows before on the three day, but then we've seen them before. If you want to see a replay, you can always see them on your in-stateroom tv.

For me, the shows are a highlight of our cruises. But for you, if they're not your cup of tea, by all means take that time to enjoy something more to your liking. It will actually be a great non-crowded time to enjoy the pools or clubs, see a movie, go to the Rainforest in the spa, get a massage appointment, etc. Most people disembark in Nassau, but we never bother, and we enjoy the non-crowded time on the ship. It will be the same for you if you decide to skip the shows. That's the great thing about cruising...there are always multiple things to do at any given time, so if you don't like one thing, just do another.

I agree with Barb. At first I was thinking "Oh, you can't miss the shows." We love the shows....but the beauty of a cruise is that there are so many things offered that you have plenty to choose from. If the shows aren't your thing, then use the time to do something else. You won't run short of options.
