We have an opportunity to go to WDW in Feb. so that I can attend a conference on site. By that time our older DS will be 2 1/2 years and our new baby will be exactly 3 months old. Has anyone gone with a baby this young? What was it like? I am a little worried about him catching something from all the kids there. We have a Baby Bjorn to use, he really enjoys being in that. My DH and I would really like to go and I am sure our older son would love to go too (we went in May when he was 22 months and he remembers so much and talks about "Mickey's House" all the time).
By the way I would be in the conference for the last 2 days of our planned trip. We were thinking of going for a total of 5-6 days. DH would have to fend for himself with the 2 kids on the last 2 days. :rotfl: :rotfl:

My sis took her youngest for the first time when she was not quite 3 months old. And she was breastfeeding. It was actually pretty easy. The child can go on any ride without a height restriction. It is probably the only Disney vacation without hearing "I want this, I want that" from your youngest. :rotfl:

Go and have a great time!

the first time we went our littest was 9 weeks, the older two were almost 2 and almost 3. It was wonderful. The baby spent the whole time in the sling attached to me. She would wake up in the morning, strap her in, and she only really got taken off to eat, to diaper change, and that was about it. There are very few pictures of her on that trip, because she was in the sling. For us it was wonderful, the characters loved the little baby, Mary Poppins would not give her back to us, we loved it. Would do it again in a heartbeat. They are so little and easy at that time. Have fun

definatlly go, enjoy, if you are breastfeeding it's just going to be so so much easier, although i'm not sure how 2 days away will be for the baby and dad if you are breastfeeding... although if you arent' breastfeeding then you are right to worry about all the germs you child is pron too, i would be very worried taking a child under 6 months out in such a crawded and puplic place if they didn't have the benifits of breastfeeding/human milk in them to keep them from getting all germs and making them pretty sick, but JMO. good luck

I took my little ones when the baby was 3 months, and we had a great day. She slept most of the time we were there. I don't know that I would have done it on my own, though... maybe your husband could take the mornings when you'll be in the conference off, and you could go to the park later in the day. Doing Disney alone with two babies is a large task for even the most organized parent!

I took my 3rd when she was 7 weeks old...for a week....heck, I had 2 older kids (5 & 7) who were in school...so she was "used" to germs...what has more germs than an elementary school!!

I also took my 4th when he was almost 4 months old... he was fine.

don't be afraid to take your child to wdw...it will be awesome..

on a side note, my 4th was 7 days old when Hurricane Katrina hit and we had to evaculate to 4 different hotels with a new baby....one of those happened to be a casino!!! talk about germs....but he was fine.

have fun.

I certainly hope it's a good idea! We will be there starting 2/1 with a 3.5 month old. :sunny: We are anticipating a great trip. I have a friend who took her DD in late January when she was 3 months and said it was great. I figure early Feb will be a good time to go with him...low crowds and *hopefully* mild weather.

Maybe we will see you there! :)

We took our 3 month old in Oct and had an amazing trip!! I was not worried about germs at all. If you've taken your baby to the mall they've been exposed to germs. I think normal handwashing is good enough.

Never too young for WDW!! Just remember that the little one won't get a great deal out of it but your older child & you will love it. Just remember sun cream & lots to drink & it'll be fine. There's loads of little hidaways to go & sit quietly when you need a break & the memories (& photos) will be fantasic.

We took both our kids when they were each 2 months old. It's not a problem at all.

I'm sure you are familiar with the Baby Care Station? It will be a great place for you to nurse, change diapers, etc.

Enjoy your trip!
