Anyone take 3 kids alone? My hubby will be in a conference in May for a few days and we might go with him, but I am not sure of taking 3 ages 7,5 and 2 to the parks by myself. What do you think??
Alicia
PS he is staying onsite

I'd go!!! Even just hanging out by the pool all day would be great.

You'll be pushing a stroller in the parks. Can probably be done, but you'll need the 7 year old to watch the 5 year old and help out. The pool will be fun. The kids will run off and do the slide, while you watch the 2 year old in the baby pool. You'll have to lay down very strict rules for the 7 and 5 year old so you can watch the 2 year old.

i took 3 sons but they were older than yours to universal and disney.
i waited until they were 5, 7, 8 for 10 days.

i screamed a lot and only lost them 2 times.

if i were you, i would go and enjoy yourselves.

do what robvia said, it can be done and you all will have a grand time.

i would never pass up a trip and you get to stay on site.
you will only have the kids to take care of by yourself probably.
wouldn't your husband help in the evenings when he is done with his conference?

I did it by myself granted my kids are a bit older ( 9, 8, 7 & 6 at the time).
We spent 2 weeks in Florida, I drove the 2 days there and back by myself and stayed a week at Universal. We had a blast!!

You can always go back to the room for a nap if they start getting cranky.

Have fun and make sure that the bigger kids understand how important it is that neither of them wander out off somewhere that they can't be seen.

a drive from ohio to orlando.
you get woman of the year award.

he's touching me, i want the window, move his feet, she's looking at me, it's my turn to choose the movie, what do you mean you have to go to the bathroom, why didn't you go 5 minutes ago when we stopped?.........

that part of the trip had to be rough..........
the easy part of your trip was probably at the parks, it is the driving that gets maddening......

LOL You must of been that fly on the van window. Actually it wasnt too bad, when we got into the mountains it was horrible! ... I hate hate hate hate hate being in the mountains in a car so driving was even more terrifying, not sure whose idea it was to make the speed limit 70 in the darn winding mountains( I-75 ) Then on the way home we went a different route which had more mountains ( up the east coast sort of) and hit a really bad rain storm and then it was so foggy I couldnt see 5 feet in front of me THAT was bad!! But ya we did get all the are we there yet ? I have to go to the bathroom...he's looking at me crap but it was still fun

I have done it before, but my kids are 12, 6 and 4, so the older one always helps.... it is not impossible to do, it was actually fun for me and the kids...

I am so glad my kids are older now! When we go in (29) days, my wife and I will have lots of time to hang out by the Beach Pool or in The Alchemy Bar while the kids go ride Hulk twelve times in a row like last trip :rotfl: . They're (17) and (15) now, both have cell phones, and they know the parks as well or better than me!

I think with FOTL (staying onsite) you should be fine. Unlike Disney, the parks are a lot closer to the hotels and you won't have to be there right at rope drop. Just set your expectations low. Go in, do one area (obviously start with things like Seuss) and if people are still having fun, move somewhere else. If not, be prepared to go back, swim and rest.

Will DH possibly have some time in the evenings to come with you guys? Asking so that possibly your older kids would still get to ride things like Spiderman or MIB which I'm sure they'd enjoy but you couldn't do with a 2 year old and really wouldn't want to let them ride themselves.

Another possibility might be getting a sitter for even a morning or afternoon for the 2 year old and hitting some of the bigger rides with the other 2.

Good luck!
