3 Dinner Guests?

1. Clayton Valli (deaf poet) because I love his poetry.
2. My dad because I miss him
3. Kevin Mintz because he is one of the most awesome young men I have ever met.

I hear this question almost every year. And every year my answers change.

This year....

1. My MIL. She's in the hospital recovering from a bad car accident that happened a couple of weeks ago. Her and her husband live with us and it's been hard not to have her here with us getting ready for the holidays.

2. Jesus. Because I have to many questions that I believe he is the only one who could answer them for me.

3. My father. He only lives across town but we have not seen each other for a year. Not exactly sure why. It just is.

1. One of my ancestors who is a big ole' blank for geneaologists. We know he changed his name; we know that one of his sons was an outlaw; we suspect he was a Unionist from Texas; we suspect he had some sort of relationship with the James Younger gang (3 different branches of the family have independent stories about the gang hiding out on family land; one branch has stories about feeding them and sheltering them in the barn.); but we don't actually know anything.

2. Oskar Schindler

3. Raoul Wallenberg

Jesus Christ,
Mahatma Gandhi,
and Saint Thomas Aquinas

And if I was in a completely different mood. . .

Henry David Thoreau,
Mark Twain,
and Ralph Waldo Emerson

I lost 3 people suddenly so I wasn't able to say goodbye... so my grandmother, one of my best friends, and my father who I wasn't close with for good reasons but I feel bad for the way he died estranged from the whole family.

I dunno... seems to me that Ralph and Henry would spend too much of the time just catching up with each other. :)

Brilliant choice! I hadn't thought of him. :thumbsup2

But it their "catching up" would be worded so beautifully, wouldn't it?

1) Walt Disney
2) My Mother who died in 1997
3) My Sister who died in 2006

They are the reason that Walt is my hero

Tough question. There are so many people I would love to speak to. However, I'd have to pick...

1. My mom
2. My dad..... both passed away before we had children, and I'd love for them to be able to spend an evening together.

3. Rosa Parks... but really there are so many people that if you ask again in tomorrow my answer could change.

Julia Child
Thomas Jefferson
Theodore Geisel/Dr. Seuss

Can you imagine that dinner party? What a hoot!
