Our story...we checked into BWV on Thanksgiving afternoon. Around 1:30 or so. I knew our room wouldn't be ready...it wasn't. We had a preferred one-bedroom, non-smoking requested. MS had added Village Green view but that was their doing, not my request. So, off to MGM we went. We returned around 3:30 to find that our room was ready. We got our bags and went in search of room 3014. Found it, after a pretty lengthy walk down those hallways. Our stay in August was only about 2 rooms down from the elevators, so we were curious about the 'real' length of the halls. We got to our room. We found.....a dedicated (am I correct in this wording...it had no connecting door) room, with a single and very small balcony off the living room. We overlooked the 'big white tent' off to the right, boarded up construction in the garden area below us, and a huge tree right in front of us. If it hadn't been for the tree we would have had a nice view of the canal and the S/D. But you couldn't see around that darned tree. The kicker was that when you opened the master drapes...you looked out directly onto the balcony of the person in the next room, around the corner. Seems that we had an end of the corridor room, so no master balcony. I could have lived with it if I could have opened the drapes. But if I did that I would have read the guys paper while he sat on his balcony, sipping his coffee!!! So, dh went back to the lobby to see if we could get a different room.

He got back about 20 minutes later and off we went in search of room 4116. I put the room key in, opened the door and behold an occupied room!!! Backed right out of there. Back to the lobby for dh. He came back with Alfredo, the manager. Seems Alfredo wanted to see for himself. Yep, it was really occupied. The current residents had decided to stay for another night!!

Back to the lobby for all of us. My poor 11 y/o dd just wanted to relax and get to Chef Mickey's for T-day dinner. Alfredo found us another room. He went up to room 4128 with us. When he overheard dd talking about whether or not we would make it to our 5:15 PS's at CM's, he told us that he would have a car take us there as soon as we got settled in. Very nice. And also that he was putting a $100 credit on our account for our 'trouble'. I told him that was not necessary at all and we didn't need to be compensated, he said no, he really wanted to do it. We said please don't. But, upon check-out, there was that credit.

As for our final room. 4128 was a nice room. Lock-off room, about 3 rooms from the end of the hall. The stairway dropped you at the MGM walkway and tennis court area. Thanks to all of you, I knew to use that stairway, instead of going back to the elevator!! So, a big Thank-you to you guys.
THe room overlooked the quiet pool and Community Hall bldg. Very quiet area. We had a nice view of the canal, Swan and Dolphin. One of the burners on the range didn't work but I wasn't there to cook!! It was a little worn but reminded me of a well-used and well-loved summer cottage we once had. Dh was very happy to hear that the sofa beds are being replaced. He called it a 'torture rack'. But, since he snores so badly, he got put there while dd and I shared the king in the master.

All in all, a very good trip. We are looking forward to a ladies only trip home soon. Thanks for all your wonderful tips and advice here.
