So we are headed to WDW in July. I booked OKW on rented points from David's Vacation Rentals, then a VGF stay booked through our travel agent then a BLT stay again through our travel agent. I linked all 3 stays into my on-line profile. I then purchased 10 day tickets through Undercover Tourist and linked them into my on-line profile. We've done ADR's and FP+ reservations.

The system is sending us 3 complete sets of MB's. Seems like a potential problem to me. We've received our first set, 2nd is on it's way, 3rd (since I just booked the BLT stay) is going to ship soon.

Need some wisdom on how to handle this. I would think the entire stay can be put on the single set of MB's but don't think that's how it's going to happen. Of course we will bring ALL of the MB's but what do you think will happen? Will I have to get them to assign the original ones each time I check in to our next resort? What about the tickets. I would assume they will be on the original set. I figure we will get through the entire trip on the original MB's Need your advice.

I have the same problem. I believe the 1st set of bands will have your tickets on them but you might have to use the other set of bands as your room key. I am hoping I can ask the CM who checks us in if their is any way they can link my room to the 1st set of bands.

Good Luck

As the owner of 17 MB personally (my family of 3 has almost 50.)

Make sure the one you want to use is associated with your MDE account and all your Family is associated with you. And yes the one you choose SHOULD work for the whole trip.

I took 26 bands my family had at the time on my first MB trip since that is all of the ones they had sent me and I didn't know what would happen (BTW by the end of the trip we had 30 bands, it seems something tripped the system to cough up 4 more bands from my family of 3 and had them waiting at the resort for us, my wife for some reason had 2 waiting for her at SSR, 1 in the box of 3 for the family, and 1 in it's own box.)

At the time the door locks seemed to randomly lose someone's band every day. So each night I made the trek to SSR Front desk to fix the broken band/s.

The bands do not have any "tickets on them".

The bands have a serial number on them. Which can be looked up a database which tells Disney who's MDE account the Band belongs to, once you know who it is you can see what other "entitlements" are on the account. Entitlements are like opening doors, charging privileges FP+ and tickets.

And yes there is some optimizations like the doors locks don't query the database when it sees a MB. What happens is MB that is allowed to open the door is pushed to door lock.

So for tickets you are looking for tuple of You, MB and ticket information all being associated with the same person in MDE.

We went on our June trip with 4 Magic bands each ( we stayed at 3 different resorts and are annual passholder). All magic bands worked at the turnstiles to enter parks, FP+, to get in our room and for charging to the room.

Just an FYI: I learned yesterday from a CM at OKW that Disney recycles magic bands. We had two sets since we did a split stay. The first set were the ones we used for the entire trip. When I checked out today, I handed them our unused set of MB's and took our original MB home with us.
