3 deaths in 1 week - July will always have an awful week

My Dad's 9th anniversary was this past Tues the 22nd.
When I saw my mother last Fri for her birthday she pointed out that both her father and my father's father died in the same week as my Dad! I already knew both grandfathers died only a few days apart - both when I was 3. But I didnt realize it was the same week as my dad!
Younger brother said both he and my older brother better watch out for that week in the future.

Sometimes those dates can be haunting!

We had my grandfather's funeral on our wedding anniversary one year. I still very much enjoy celebrating our marriage every year but I never fail to think about my grandpa a few times during the day. I like to remember how much he loved me and my husband and how much he enjoyed watching my son and daughter grow the first few years of their lives (he died when son was 2 and daughter was 1).

I try to use these days to remember the wonderful lives and memories of my loved ones who have gone on. I really do feel especially close to them on these days, like they know we're thinking about them and they are watching over us, comforting us with their presence.

September 3rd...shudder

It was my my maternal grandparents' wedding anniversary. On their 30th anniversary my grandmother's mother died. On their 35th her sister died. On their 45th her husband (my grandfather) died.

I am always happy when September 4th comes.

Well, I guess if you go looking you will find multiple deaths on or near the same date.

Concentrate on the births, Barb. What week of the year had the most births? This death stuff is way too negative for me.

I prefer being positive, it's a weakness, huh?
