The bags are packed, all of the ADRs have been made,(stressed over, almost cancelled, and re-made :rotfl2: )I have checked the weather I do not know how many times and have searched the DIS high and low for that one tid bit of info that can change the world, so now what? How do you pass the time right before your trip?

have you called your hotel with any special requests you might have? (birthday, special sections, ect) this is about the time you should do that

I purposely don't pack until the day before so at least I have something to keep me busy. Of course, my packing list is written way ahead of time. But I leave tomorrow, I just finished packing, and I don't know what to do with myself for the rest of the day! :confused3 Disney here I come! :Pinkbounc

I kept myself busy with shopping! LOL And we watched Disney movies. I know how you feel, though..it's so hard being so close!

Geez, I wish I had nothing to do between now and Wednesday! I have to work 8 hour days today, tomorrow, Monday and Tuesday, attend a rehearsal for the show I'm currently doing, make an appearance at my friend's baby's baptism after-party and possibly squeeze in a manicure. Oh yeah, have I mentioned that I haven't packed yet?

We leave Wednesday, show up in WDW Thursday if all goes well! Planning lots of subterfuge as this is a surprise trip for my cousins 50th b'days. That involves much extra packing, calling, telling the tale and setting the hook :thumbsup2 Lots of tshirts to make, and boxing of potentially hazardous substances into the suitcases so we can breeze thru the airport unencumbered! All of that and spending WAY to much time on the DISBOARDS!!!

Well, I envy you . . .why not hop on a train and come to CT to help me get organized? ;)

We leave Wednesday morning and I'm not even close to being ready . . . :rolleyes1 :sad2:

I would make sure my house was as clean as possible. Hate coming home to a messy house! Maybe fix a couple of meals you can put in the freezer so things will go smoother when you return home. Get or give yourself a peticure. Check the batteries in all of the electronics that will be traveling with you, (gameboys, cd players, headphones for the car dvd player, remote for car dvd player)
HAVE A GREAT TRIP!

Ditto on the house cleaning! There's just something depressing about coming home to a messy house.

Why not head over to the trip reports board and read a few to pass the time?

Have a great trip!

We leave Wednesday, too. Today I hemmed and made-ready all our outfits for the wedding we are leaving for, the day after we get back from WDW. And when we get back from the wedding, we start school - so I've gotta get ALL the laundry done! LOL!

We also watch the Disney movies - Mulan is the next one in the pipe!

I also thought I could relax and watch the Red Sox beat the Yankees. **sigh**

I am in the same boat as you all, yay! :cool1:
We leave wednesday too.

Yesterday I:
-Printed off the awesome packing list from Mousesavers (added and deleted things as necessary)
-Cleaned house
-shopped
-Put Bounce pads in the suitcases and zipped them up so they would smell nice inside
-made more activity page puzzles for the kids
-spent lots of time on the Dis
-checked flights again
-called to see if we could get into the family magic tour (been booked full for weeks, but I keep trying, hoping for a cancellation!)

Today I:
-shopped
-cleaned
-tried on and put together a few outfits
-did laundry
-put lime green ribbons on our suitcases to make them easier to spot
-called for the family magic tour again (no luck!)
-took DD to doctor-she has tonsillitis, respiratory infection and ear infections-yikes!!
-went and got dd antibiotics :(
-added to shopping list
-watching Country Bears later

Still have to:
-get lime green mickey heads ready!
-pack
-stress!!

Hope to see you all there! :thumbsup2

i actually just booked our trip 2 days ago. im on vacation anyways so when i saw a code i said to my dh lets go. we leave tuesday morning on the 620 am amtrak train into wash.dc.thenonto disney . i got a sleeper car this time. only for the way down though, its pretty pricy. i tried to get standard room at akl ,cause my dh is dying to stay there. but no standard. so we are gooing to asmusic, its alot less $$$$$ i would of loved to surprise him with akl, but right now it just wasnt in our budget.not to babble , but our 3 1/2 month old grandson just got a one of those medical helmets for his problem with his head. it was more than just sleeping on one side type of problem. we have been at childrens hospital in waltham,ma. super nice doctor and nurses. my son in law is in iraq. they should be home in november. but all the insurance companies are saying that it is cosmetic , so even though my son in law is fighting in iraq ,in the army, for our country....they do not want to pay for it. the helmet was just over 2,000.00 bucks.. so we werent sure if we should go, but we decided toat the last min. im sure its gonna be busy and hot. but we could use the break..... sorry about my babbling............im packing tomorrow............................hope every one has a great trip.

God love you! Life doesn't make sense sometimes. Thank your son-in-law for giving so much of himself for his country, and I hope everything works out for you grandson. And yes, you do sound like you could use a little pixie dust!

I'm feeling at a loss of what to do also. As a school teacher I've had the entire summer off, so I have been cleaning, shopping, laundering away. I've even been watching movies, creating shirts, and designing frames. Now with two days left and most tasks accounted for and many that were extra, I'm in a waiting pattern. I do need to pack but want to wait one more day for that. I will strip the beds and do the last minute lanundry today. Tomorrow we have some last minute fresh shopping to do, pack, and do a quick cleaning one more time. I hated wishing the summer away but am so anxious to get home to Disney.

When you have nothing to do, just immerse yourself in Disney! Movies, music, ride videos... anything magical. :sunny: :wizard:

I am stuck in the same rut. We leave Wednesday morning early (for me (I am a teen what did you expect?) at least 8:30) soo I really only have to get through Monday and Tuesday but it seems like FOREVER away....

Today we cut out big lime green mickeys to put on my hotel room door!

And I did more packing, and labelling with my brand new label maker!

Yep, I know what that is like...hubby just got back from Iraq not too long ago. It was a heck of a long year to say the least and boy was it expensive! God Bless your son in law and family!

Have a wonderful, magical, pixie dust filled vacation!
