3 days at DL - which park to spend 2 days in?

We always find GOOD value in park hopping! It is almost like one big park (they are THAT close!.....~~length of a football field). It is so nice to have the FLEXIBILITY of a hopper--if it gets crazy crowded, hop to the other park....pick up fast passes in each park and back and forth! I can't imagine not hopping....I would look over at the other park and think of a million things I could be doing there! When you figure out the daily cost, the minimal cost of hoppers for the 3 days, gets you flexibility that adds up to far less stress for just a few dollars more.

So i am going to spin why not having a park hopper:

1. we all forget here that other folks are reading this thread also and struggling with first time visit to Disneyland with only a few days or large family on a budget so I give these words of encouragement about non-park hoppers during visits that will see a 10 ranking attendance

2. If you had more than two days, which is all that you realistically have with an unknown arrival at your lodging, then sure park hop. But you only have two full days.

3. Park hopping is fantastic if you know what you are doing and where you need to be every hour, but for the first time in your Disney life, you are going to experience spontaneity, that some of us here have lost. I have lost my spontaneity and would wish for it to come back, but I am a park hopper and have lost my Disneyland soul

4. Each of your full days is going to require that you be in the park all day. In DCA , at night you have the lighting of Carsland, you have the night dark vista of Carsland, The Pier, WOC, the backside of Grizzly, the streets. And your romantic dinner. You have a lot to do at Night that you could not do during the daytime. Daytime, holy cow, its your first time and tons of photographs to snap. DCA has more corners to explore, more turns to make, where as Disneyland is like a roundabout and has a natural flow.

5. Wednesday in Disneyland. You have already been here, just that you have a check-off list from what is WDW different. Main street has street entertainment, flag lowering, fun food, HISTORY. The Matterhorn, once is enough? Then there is night time in Disneyland, Toontown, best time for Autopia and Tomorrowland, fireworks, parades, and the best romantic place of all, that soothing walk in NOS,which by the way is extremely rare because there is no dragon show stealing away the quiet of the night. you may very well find that Night in NOS was your best time of the the two days.

6. So tell me. at what time are you going to hop over to DCA and what are you going to do there and what are you going to give up on Wednesday. And on Tuesday, if you like RSR, and want to ride again, are you going to give that up, to park hop to a very , very crowded, 4th of July in Disneyland

I don't see the advantage, on a two day trip for this particular romantic WDW couple.

I agree with getting park hopper tickets. I would suggest staying on site too, so you can use MM/EE each morning. I would also suggest booking an late breakfast or early lunch at Carnation Café on Main Street. You may be able to see Oscar! He celebrated his 60th year working at Disneyland. WOC dessert package is another thing I would book so we could enjoy the show without standing. Congrats on 30 years! Have a great time at Disneyland. ( Don't forget to get buttons celebrating your anniversary).

Happy Anniversary:flower1:
Spending more time in DL is probably the most fun. Enjoy your days
