We (me, DH, DS 5, DD 4, DD3) are thinking of doing the 7 day W. Caribbean next Easter. I'm extremerly excited and a bit nervous about 7 whole days. We have the opportunity to do the 3 day this Easter. Do you think it would be a good idea? We could get a feel for how we would do for 7 days (since we've never been on the DCL). I think the kids would get a giant kick out of it but I'm not sure if 3 days will be too short or if it will help get us excited for next yr. I also cannot get over how much the 3 day cruise is...wow!! I could do a week on most other cruise lines for that price. Is it really worth it?

If you can afford it, go for it! Easter is PEAK season and you are paying full brochure rate for this year (or have very little early booking savings at this point). The 3-night cruise and 7-night cruise are really totally different experiences but both are fun, so if money is not an issue then go. :)

I answered your question on the other board too, but here goes again! We did the 3-day for our first cruise, and we loved it so much that we immediately booked the 7-day when we got home! It would be a good way to introduce the kids to the idea of cruising, and they'll learn what to expect on the 7-day! I think you will have a great time! :D

I love the idea. We did the 4-day just to prepare for our 7-day. We are glad we did it and feel prepared to make our next cruise even more fabulous than the first. Now the only problem is waiting.......
