We went to disney in february on the 3 day play pass and used all 3 days on each ticket.
we are going in sept and was wondering if those tickets can still be used to upgrade to a seasonal pass?
so instead of paying 215.00 per adult it would be just 95.00?
please help! :)

I think the "rule" for any upgrade is that you have to do it prior to the use of the last day available on the pass.

this is what it says on wdw.com "The initial cost of the 3-Day Play Pass can be applied to the purchase of an Annual or Seasonal Pass!"
It doesnt give any time restrictions.
so if I cant do that then can I use my 1 day base ticket for sept and upgrade those to seasonal passes during the same visit?

You can possibly upgrade it- it may depend on who is working the ticket counter and if you used it during any nonseasonal pass days then it would have to be for a full annual pass. The passes will start on the first day you used the tickets- in other words they began last Feb. You can upgrade you 1 day base to a seaonal before you go into the park and use it. You cannot however combine the 2 tickets to get more off of a pass.

You should get a reminder card in the mail about the upgrade. I believe its a 3 or 6 mo. time frame on which you can upgrade. The previous post is right about the dates though. It will expire the first day you used the play three ticket. It's still a good deal to upgade even if you are just considering going back this year. We did that back when they had the play 4 {remember when ???? lol} and we upgraded to the seasonal pass and ended up going 4 times that year!

Where did you find the Madagascar characters in your photo? Sorry, I know it's off the subject.

i was calling reservations about something else, and asked the about upgrading a 3 Day Play Pass after all three days were used, and the gentleman I spoke to said that he believe it had to be upgraded before the 3rd day was used. He gave me another number to call, but it is closed and DD talked to me before I got a chance to write it down. 407-560-PASS is the passholder number, but tonight I got routed back to the main reservation number.

Thank you so much for the info I will try to call the number tomorrow to find out.
I was actually told by the lady from tickets we could do that and now I am just kinda upset because I am told we can't do it.
I made all my ressie's earlier now may have to cancel bcause of the extra costs involved.
thank you so much I really do appreciate it makinorlando.....

I hope for your sake he was wrong and you were given the right answer. I just know with any other type of day pass - MYW - that any upgrades (adding additional days at the cheap daily rate or upgrading to an AP) has to be done before the last day. Friends of mine had to do this when they were just visiting, and needed to add a day to their MYW ticket. They had to rush to guest relations before the park closed to do it on the 2nd to last night there!!

I love the Madagascar picture. We got a "free" ticket and discount ticket in the mail from Universal. DD and I have never been, so we are going to take advantage of it. We can both get in for a day for $35! With AP to Disney and Sea World/Busch Gardens, we got kind of hung up just doing those parks!!!

The rule I heard was that the upgrade had to be done within 14 days from first usage or before everything is used up, I forget whether it is whichever happens first or whichever happens last.

In the case of annual or seasonal passes the start date of the year or season is the first day of usage of the original pass.

Florida resident 3 Day Play tickets are an animal unto themselves. They have basically the same rules that the old Play 4 passes had which are quite different from Disney's normal ticket procedures. You have six months to upgrade them from first use. Does not matter whether all three days have been used or not. Your AP/PAP/SP will be backdated to the first date you used the 3 Day Play ticket. This can only be done at a Guest Relations location at the theme parks or at either DTD location. You cannot do it at the resorts.

As is the case with Disney's renewals on AP/PAP/SP's, you may receive a reminder notice in the mail about a month before your ticket expires but don't count on it as they are extremely hit-or-miss. Keep track of your time frame yourself.
