What would you do? I'm trying to decide between 3 day Park Hopper tickets vs 4 Day one park a day tickets. The price difference isn't much. Our plane is landing at MCO on Sunday Jan 14th at 10:45am, the day before MLK Day. I am using Magical Express to get to the Polynesian. All the parks close at 8pm that day. I am trying to decide if I should go to Hollywood Studios this day. Will there be enough time? If not I will do only 3 days in the parks and go to HS maybe on Monday after AK.

Since we are staying at the Polynesian so I will have early park entry benefits for Mon at AK, Tue at Epcot, an Wed plan on going to MK. TIA!

I can see the benefits of both:

Using only 3 day PH- gives you a full day to enjoy the resort. Polynesian is a great resort and on the monorail. I would enjoy resort hopping the monorail resorts my first day and maybe having a nice dinner. Being so close to MK you also have the ability to go over there any evening (depending on your plans the other days).

However if you enjoy park time more than I would say get the 4 day pass. You would have at least 6/7 hours to enjoy HS. With the use of FP+ you would likely have time to enjoy all the rides. Also for your other days if you do have some extra time, you can enjoy the resorts then.

I would do the 4-day base ticket. You are arriving early enough to get a substantial amount of park time in on your first day. I much prefer focusing on one park per day than spending time on Disney transportation hopping all over the place.

Personally we would do the 4 day ticket for sure. There's a lot of time left on your arrival day. We plan about 3 to 3.5 hours from flight arrival until we are in the parks so you should be able to make to HS by about 2 pm.

I HIGHLY doubt that all parks will close at 8 pm. I would fully expect them to change to add more hours, especially Epcot and MK.

EP does close at 9:00 that day and the entire week. As DisneyFive said, MK will probably extend hours as well. HS and AK closing at 8:00 is pretty normal.

I would probably do the 4-day and go somewhere on arrival day.

4 day base tickets, one park per day. No doubt in my mind that's what I'd do!!

You'll have plenty of time to do stuff at DHS on your arrival day. Last summer, our flight landed at 6:10 pm and we still had time for Star Tours, RnRC, TSMM 3x and ToT 3x before the park closed at 10. We also watched the fireworks and Fantasmic. We do drive ourselves though which saves a ton of time.
