3 Day Cruise Upgrade Fees / Booking problems?

Can someone refresh my memory on the upgrade fees for the incentive cruise?

What is the fee for an additional guest (beyond 4)? Does the age matter?

What are the fees for a cabin upgrade?

Also, has anyone experienced problems booking their first choice of cruise? We're considering Thanksgiving 2010, but I was surprised the holiday wasn't blacked-out and wonder if they will still have availability by the time we get our voucher.

I think that upgrading to a verandah is "tiered" based on how many nights you are crusing. I believe that the 4-night cruise was $80 to upgrade to a verandah stateroom. If you have more guests than 4, you are going to need to upgrade to a larger (Category 4?) stateroom and pay the additional fees for the upgrade. Although I do not know personal experience, my understanding from reading various posts is that the process is very streamlined and painless. Either way, best of luck to you!!

We booked our cruise with no problem at all. We chose the 11/4/10 cruise. It was a 3 night cruise. tehre are 3 of us traveling and we upgraded to a verandah category. It was $80.00 pp and it upgrades you to a guaranteed category 7. We asked for a 6 and they said they would give us what was available but it would be at the least a cat 7. I hope this helps.

I just booked mine. The voucher came before my closing on 5/6. I upgraded to cat 6 veranda for $100pp 4 night cruise.

To get a 5th person in a room, you need to upgrade all the way to a category 4, then pay full fare for the 5th person. Total price is over $1,000.

We booked a 3 night cruise yesterday for 12/17/09. That was our first choice. We upgraded to a cat.6 verandah room for $80 per person so it was $320 total. I would have liked to get a first seating for dinner but was told that the DVC cruise incentive was only allowed to get a second seating for dinner.
