I saw a website a couple weeks ago that featured an interesting visual effect called "Space Wiggle" that simulates 3-D images on a computer screen without the use of special glasses or any other contraption. The idea is that by switching between the image for the left and right eyes, the brain can sort out the images and perceive depth in an otherwise 2-D image. I decided to take the panorama image of the Martian surface from the Mars rover Spirit and make my own image. I have a very fast computer and video card, so the images shift back and forth quickly enough to make the effect work for me. You may want to download the image to your computer if it takes too long to load.
