I was wondering if there were any other LARGE families that would like to see Disnty make 3 way connecting room(in the future maybe) at a value/mod resort??? We are a family of 8 DH, myself and 6 kids (12,10,7,4,2, 10mo.) We would love to have 3 connecting rooms. Maybe this sounds silly but we just like to be able to have a lot of space. I know the Villas are an option but they cost a whole lot more than 3 rooms at a value/mod resort.

dennisnlisab96, I booked three rooms at PC for our upcoming trip. I'm just happy that WDW has connecting rooms. I booked 3 rooms, with a request for two rooms connecting and the third adjoining for my family of 4 and my parents.

While I certainly do think that it is terrific that you were able to have such a large family, I do not think that it is the "norm". Don't get me wrong, I'd have had a dozen, if I thought I could have (mentally and financially). ;)

Since WDW has to try to placate the masses as well as try to satisfy the bottom-line, I think that the two connecting rooms are as good as it's going to get at the values and mods.

Are you certain that such rooms don't exist? Last spring we had connecting rooms at the Polynesian and one room connected to a third. That theoretically could fit a family of 15 plus three more under 3!:D

I would call and ask. Your oldest are too young to be in a room by themselves so if such a configuratrion exists, I think they'll help you find it. There are a lot of new CMs at reservations apparently so if the one you get can't help, ask for help from a supervisor.

Well I have been staying on property for quite a few years and I have never seen any rooms that would connect three rooms due to room layouts...The Poly is a deluxe so it would be in a different class..Values and Moderates just don't have that much space to have rooms with doors on two sides of the room. The second door would have to be located on the same side of the wall as the beds and you can barley walk between the bed and the wall to the bathroom.

Magic, I've been staying on property since 1983 and this was the first time we've had a room like that too. Of course I know we've only stayed in a tiny fraction of the rooms though. I'm not saying it's common at all, just worth inquiring about.

However you make an excellent point about the wall space. Would it work in a king room in a value or moderate?

Also dennisnlisa, you mention you know about the villas but do you know you can rent points from members to stay there at far less than the prices Disney charges? Check out the Rent/Trade forum for more info. That might be about the same as 3 values at certain times of the year if you stay just Sunday through Thursday nights.

The King size bed would give you more wall space but that wouldn't mean there would be another king room on the other side...like I said the Poly is not even in the same class as the newer Deluxe Resorts because the rooms are so much larger, but I just don't think it would be possable in the Values or Moderates But I could be wrong, have been wrong in the past...::yes::

Best thing to do is ask? But we here on the DIS know more then many of the CM that make the reservations. So

The DVC point rental could in fact be less expence then paying for three rooms at a value or moderate you could stay for as little as $220.00 no tax a night at OKW in a two-bedroom Villa during some dates Sunday-Thursday. That would give you two-bedrooms and a living room, full kitchen, two bathrooms and a

and dryer.
