Hey all- going to US/IOA/WWHP on March 10/11. Want the whole ride so splurging on two nights at an onsite hotel. My dilemma- the HP package will cost me $55 more that booking the tickets and hotel separately. The only addition is an 8:30 reservation for BF at 3 Broomsticks. Worth it? We want to eat there for sure and BF would be nice.

The site shows hours of 9-7 for that time frame and I assume the hours apply to WWHP as well. That makes early entry at 8:00. We could sneak in Ollivander's before BF at 8:30 but that might make for some very hungry kids!!

So, what do you all think? Book it without the breakfast and eat while we wait to get in from our stash and then do lunch there or suck up the $55 extra?

Thanks!!

I wouldn't pay the extra money for breakfast but then I'm a bit cheap when it comes to meals. ;)

I think you would be just as happy eating lunch there instead of breakfast and put the extra money towards something else.

Just my opinion.

I am wondering the same thing about whether the 3 Broomsticks Bkfst is worth the extra $$, and also if it will interfere with taking advantage of early entry into the park?

Can someone clarify times for me.....am I correct in that IOA opens at 9:00am, however if you are staying at an on-site hotel you can enter the park at 8:00 am?

Also, are all the HP attractions open at 8:00 am? I am thinking that by getting into WWoHP at 8:00 am I would want to take full advantage of the busiest attractions and do them first to avoid long wait times....thus if I had an 8:30 am Bkfst reservation this would preclude doing rides etc first thing in the morning.

Thanks for any input!

You are correct...If the normal opening time is 9am then you would be able to enter at 8am. Everything in WWoHP will be open. You would need to decide if the breakfast is worth the extra money. I think you could be in line a while if you aren't the first ones in line or if the Forbidden Journey is down for whatever reason.

we are going 2/10-13. We opted for the package with the breakfast since we enjoy sitting down without too many crowds to have a meal (we do the deluxe dining plan at disney).

Due to the early entrance time - we opted to make a 9:30 am reservation for breakfast. We will probably eat something small (poptart, etc) in our room before the park opens, then get as much done as we can in WWoHP between 8 and 9:30.

I figure then - that is an early lunch for us and we can relax while the main crowds start to come in.... and then we can go and enjoy the rest of the park with a full belly!

I'm with Metro. I would not waste my early entry time at 3 Broomsticks; particularly if you are going at a busy time. You could always get some lunch or a dessert there to check the place out. When we were there in the summer they were very organized and efficient and even though there was a line to get in, it moved quickly and they had a table waiting for us. If it were a later breakfast time, then maybe. But, not during that first hour. JMHO:goodvibes

We just got back from a pkg vacation... the early entry was SOOOO worth it. Having the WWoHP area to "ourselves" was such a blessing, because it got so crowded later in the day. (Even on Tuesday, when the rest of the park was pretty dead.) We did IOA 2 days... did FJ the first day and Olivander's the second. I have no tolerance for waiting 60+ minutes in line, which is what things were by lunchtime.

We did a 9:30 breakfast at 3 broomsticks, which was perfect... the public was coming in by then. The bill for the 3 of us would have been $38 without our vouchers.

If I had to do it again I'd definitely do the pkg. And my hubby ran the Disney Marathon at the weekend, but we are glad we did the Universal pkg.
