Do you get each child their own autograph book or one to share? Their ages are 9, 8, & 3.

Thanks for your help.

When my kids were little, we always got them their own. I'd rather pay out the cash than to pay by hearing them complain or fight over who was going to get it signed. Maybe not the 3 year old unless you know that he likes to go near the characters. Some that age don't and then it would be a waste of money.

We always get one per child. My little one won't go near the characters but we get it signed for her anyway. That way, when she is older, she can still have autographs to "look" at and enjoy.

We actually skip the books and get each child a WDW t-shirt. Then we have the characters sign that with a black Sharpie pen. (I've seen people bring Sharpies in many colors and the looks nice too.) The shirts are nice souvenir of the trip and they wear them long after we get home. We found the books ended up collecting dust in the drawer. I've also seen people getting baseball caps signed.

Just another idea. Have a great trip.

Great Idea! My DD must have 6 or 7 of those things! I must say though that she really did love thumbing thru those things at the end of a vacation to see who all she got and all the unique ways they signed them! Think I'll try the T-shirt this trip - THANKS!

Just want to mention with the Sharpie pens it will wash out in the laundry. Might want to invest in fabric markers, you can get fat ones at the craft store. Also with a t-shirt bring a piece of cardboard to stick in the middle or it will bleed through.

My kids have been to Disney 3 times and they each have their own book, they use the same one each trip. We mark a page with the date of the new trip. They look through and see the characters from each year. We leave a spot on the opposite page for their pic with the character. Think we may have to spring for new books next trip since our neighbors saw so many more characters out and about in the parks. Make sure you put your name and address in each book, we lost ours and they were mailed back a month after our return.

I am going to do the baseball hat signing for my older boys, ages 10 and 8. My almost 3 year old will get an autograph book. GREAT IDEA!!

Hey Michelemouse, long time no see!

We are leaving for Florida in just 16 days :Pinkbounc and I got some very inexpensive white hats for my kids at AC Moore (craft store). They're called painters hats and they're very light weight, but that might actually be good in the Florida heat.

Kallison, thanks for the mention of fabric markers, I was wondering the same thing about Sharpies. Of course, we might not be washing hats as often as a t-shirt.

I got the hats for under 50¢ I really wanted to get more than 1 each, but the two I bought cleared out their supply. I keep hoping they restock before we leave. I know the kids will love them, my DD is excited about it already. :jester:

My 3 boys are younger than yours...but the older two fight over everything. I can't imagine doing much without buying one for each. We even have to do the same color or they fight. Tell me it gets better(?!) Hope you have fun!

Actually the Sharpies don't wash out. We've done the shirts many times and all still have their signatures, after many, many washings.
