March is so crazy in our family with birthday's, I'm thrilled to be going to DW and have a break this year!!

My DH b-day is March 6, DS b-day is 10th (11yrs) and DD is 16th (4 yrs). Because DD won't know the difference I think we will celebrate her birthday the last day of the trip, because her birthday will be a few days after we get home.

My question is, does anyone have any ideas on how to make their birthdays extra special (granted they are already at DW)!

We are also on the dining plan that includes desserts, so I really don't want to buy three cakes. Should I just order one cake on my DH's birthday for all three and call it good, or do you think I need to do something on each day??

Thanks for the help!

Would you consider doing a Birthday Celebration Cruise? We did that for my daughter's birthday in August, and we loved it!! You could combine everybody's birthday into one night and celebrate it the evening before you leave. We did order a cake that was delivered to Artist Point that evening and took the cruise from Wilderness Lodge.

I think one cake should be good for everyone. I wouldnt do 3 separate cakes!

All i can suggest is that you make sure the bday folks wear their bday buttons. For the entire trip! Also make a note on the restaurant reservation that its their bday. Maybe get each kid to pick out a restaurant of their choice for their bday celebration.

For birthdays, anniversies, and other celebrations,
no restaurant is that much better than another restaurant.

1) Acknowledgment is a matter of the CM's personal initiative.
2) It also depends upon how much they like you as a guest.
3) CM's can do a lot, or they can do nothing at all.
. . . they are under no obligation to give goodies or even acknowledge, or
. . . they can go way overboard and give lots of gifts to a guest
4) The CM's have a lot of leeway of things to do or not do for you.
5) Have your anniversary-birthday-celebration noted on the ressie and ADR's.
6) Some of the things a CM can do for free are
. . . decorate table with Mickey confetti
. . . best table location
. . . special personalized menu
. . . character-autographed birthday cards
. . . balloons
. . . wine or champagne or Shirley Temples
. . . appetizers or desserts
. . . cakes
. . . cupcake with candle (almost always available for the asking)
. . . placemats autographed by characters
. . . free appy pr free dessert
. . . fruit basket or wine basket in hotel room
7) Caveat: If there are multiple celebrations for people during a trip
. . . do not do separate celebration locations or tables
. . . one person may get an enthusiastic CM, and get lots of goodies
. . . one person may get a lazy CM and get nothing

This is SUCH a great point!! Thank you so much for pointing it out!! I never would have thought about it. It would be hard on my DS if DH or DD got something cool or more attention than he did. I think I will just add their three birthdays to all our reservations. I have a feeling some cast members won't believe it, but they can card us! :rotfl2:
