Hi. This feels strange. I've answered so many questions about Disney area rental homes but now I have a question of my own.

One of my employees is planning a trip in September. She has heard me rave about the places we've rented so she asked me to find a place for her. 3 adults, 3 kids. I've found plenty of listings in the $100/nite range. My question is does anyone know of any 3-bedroom condos or homes that are less than that? I don't care if it is a condo, townhouse or single home. I also don't care if it is in a resort complex or a regular residential neighborhood. Really the only requirement is that it be within 10 minutes or so of Disney. I've personally rented in Lindfields (numerous times) and Windsor Palms but I'm open to anything in the vicinity.

I'm not looking for websites to search, but rather specific properties you are aware of. Thanks.

Steve

I know you wanted a specific home and not a website but www.exclusivefloridahomes.com has 3 bedroom 2 bathroom homes for $80 a night for 7 night stays in September. They are really good about having specials during off times. I got a rate of $750 for 10 nights over Memorial week. There 3 bedrooms seem to mostly be in Eagle point, we stayed there and it is really easy to get to Disney from there, we took the toll road, it's a straight shot. If you don't book a specific home then there cancellation policy is 7 days and NO deposit. Good Luck.

Closest to Disney has 3 BR places that are less. They were very nice to deal with, but for us they couldn't specify the unit, just the subdivision.

Instead of renting in a rental resort or development, they might want to check some of the timeshare resorts. It can be easier than trying to find a specific unit. We stayed in a 3 BR/3 BA at Cypress Point grand villas and that was great for our family of me, DH, SIL, MIL, a teen boy & a teen girl. All the units are the same. It was very spacious and it's in a convenient location near the Crossroads shopping center & downtown Disney.

I've also heard that the wyndham palms condos are nice. Again, all the units are the same and it's all new(ish). I think I read they have a big TV and a jacuzzi? More upscale than Windsor Palms.

It's nice of you to research this for someone else! Happy hunting!

Another vote for closesttodisney.com In Sept we are renting a 3bdrm condo for $69 plus tax in Windsor Palms. Used them last year and for our next 2 upcoming trips. They also have 3bdrm townhomes for $79/nt. Excellent company to deal with!

This is the home we're renting this year. It's 3b 2b in Lindfields. The owners are great. It is $85 a night.

This is the home we rented last year. 4 bed/2 bath. The home was amazing and so were the owners. We paid $75 a night off season (may) I think. It's a bit farther out but wasn't an issue in May. It's at Westridge off 27

Thanks everyone. I'll check out those recommendations. I knew the cheaper places were out there somewhere.

This is the home we're renting during Easter week Rental Home The owners live in the Netherlands and will respond to your e-mail promptly if interested. It's a 3 bedroom in Indian Ridge Oaks about 5 miles to Disney.

Hi Steve,
I really enjoy your posts...you do a great job of helping folks to have a great trip.
You know, there are so many condos going up that folks renting them are dropping prices to meet costs. There are some great deals.
If your friends are internet savvy and their stay is Sat to Sat or
Sun to Sun, the best deal anywhere used to be www.skyacution.com where you can get Orange Lake, Summer Bay, Grand Lakes for about $250/ week or so. This was a $199 "service charge" and then add your bid which could be from 20 to 60 or 70 dollars for a week. These were in a part of Skyauction call "Ready Set Go"..I really don't see this section on Skyauction so not sure if it still there.
There have been lots of posts in the last year on this topic of how to use Skyauction and if your friends searched "skyauction" a lot of these posts might pop up.
Otherwise, I think it is just shop for the best deal, but be sure that they get the bed sizes they want and TV in the bedrooms and so on.....Nothing more frustrating than getting a great deal and finding out you are in a full size bed for a week when you are used to king or queen and there is just a 19 inch TV in the living room...Also, how far from the pool?

IMHO, for a special trip to Disney, I would pay another 10 or 15 a night for King beds, TV in the bedroom and "close to the pool for the kids!

Keep up the great posts.....Ted
