3 BDRM GRAND VILLA AT SS RESORT ?’s

Hello everyone. It’s been a long time since I’ve been on the boards.

We have a trip coming up with our 1 year old walking grand babe! 18 years of ownership and in all those years our goal is finally being met! To take our entire family and A GRANDCHILD altogether. Wow!

Anyway, sorry about that! My question is what do we do about gates for staircase? Does anyone have a suggestion or specific type of gate that has worked for them? I was looking at mesh gates on amazon but I don’t see how they’re mounted. They would at least be packable as opposed to shipping.

We don’t really want to have to buy them there and leave them. Any ideas would be helpful.

Also, how many bathrooms are in Saratoga Springs 3 bedroom grand villas?

I recently stayed at the GV at Bay Lake and they provided baby gates for both the top and bottom of the staircases. Not sure about Saratoga, but I assume they should offer the same items for safety reasons.

I think all GVs have 4 bathrooms...but I could be wrong about that! Hope this helps!

Thank you. When I called the guest services number - no more direct connect to front desk apparently - they said gates weren’t provided.

I wish I could trust their answer. I hate to buy them, ship them and then find out they offer them!

I just called DVC and they spoke directly to Saratoga Springs and the answer is no they don’t provide them. So I guess we’re buying...

Glad to hear you got a response, but what a bummer that they aren't consistent in what they offer guests across resorts. One option might be to check in and see if they actually DO have them; if they don't, order from Amazon Prime Now and you should receive the baby gates within an hour or two.

We just stayed at the BLT GV two weeks ago, so it is also possible that whoever Member Services spoke to at SSR doesn't know that the baby gates are available? Maybe it is a new offering?

Right after my knees were replaced, I needed an aide to rise from the toilet, and the Poly did not have one, but they got one for me from the Contemporary. That’s what they told me. You may be right when you say the gates may be available.

Baby gates would be easily obtainable at Target and such if you arrive and SSR can't provide them. A quick uber trip if you don't have a rental car. I'd just wait and see what SSR has or can get for you before buying some.
