I'm trying to book an upcoming trip this spring. We stayed at the BC last summer and were able to have my MIL stay with us cuz they allow 3 adults to their rooms. The BC is sold out and our next choice is the WL but CRO told me we would need another room for my MIL cuz the rooms are only for 2 adults. Can anyone give me feed back on how strict Disney is about this? We really want to stay at the WL (1st time) but cringe about dropping another $2,000 for a room for grandma. P.S., the deluxe rooms are also sold out.

You dont need another room all you have to do is pay the extra adult charge of $25 a night. I know i also my get the fire for this, but you could just not tell them your MIL will be staying with you. They would never really know and you would save a lot of money

Why are they only for two adults? Is it a King bed? Then someone would have to sleep on the floor. If you can stand being mildly uncomfortable, then I doubt Disney would say anything. They want your vacation to be magical, right? My goodness, if you are like us, you only sleep and shower in the room. How would they know anyway? And really, what's the difference in having three adults instead of two adults and one child? Most of the rooms allow a child in addition to the adults.

Someone we know crammed five people into a room at the ASSpR. Talk about being cramped. But it made no sense for them to buy an extra room for one person.

How many members are there in the party? The standard rooms at the WL hold only 4 and one child under the age of 3. So if you have two kids then grandma would be the 5th person and therefore you would have too many in the room. The other true deluxes all accomodate five, GR, CR, POLY, YC and BWI. Check to see if there is any availability at any of these for your dates. If you are forced to get two rooms you would save a ton of money by getting two rooms at a moderate resort. You will have four beds, two tv's and two bathrooms and still be saving almost $100 a night over a true deluxe.

I don't know why it's only 2 adults to a room. There are two beds. It would be fine for us because we don't spend much time in the room. I just don't want to break any rules and create an awkward situation for anyone. The rest of the deluxe hotels are sold out except for the rooms in the $600 a night range. That can change though. I keep checking back and that's all that's available. The AK is also avail, but my family doesn't want to stay that far out. Thanks for all your replies, Maggie

I guess the lesson is to plan earlier which I didn't do this time, oh well......

Are you 3 adults the only ones in your party? Because if so they are just telling you the wrong thing. There will be an additional charge - probably $25.00 a night - for another adult - but you can have up to 4 adults in one room at ANY of the resorts - including the Values. But if it's 3 adults and more then 1 kid - then that's why they're saying you have to get another room.

If you go to WDW site and request a room for 3 adults in the wilderness lodge it gives you the room choices and prices, so it would be my understanding that this arrangement is acceptable and nothing further is needed to be done.:D
