I just rented a minivan from Dollar for $40/ day for the six of us traveling in June. A less expensive alternative was a car service that would pick us up in a Ford Excursion ($125 +tax and tip round trip). I figured with the rental that we could use the car to go to DTD and other places in the evening.
If you will not need a car for your entire vacation, check into renting from MCO to either the Dolphin or the Car Care Center at WDW with Alamo, for two 1 day rentals. (Rent for 1 day on arrival, and one day to get back to the airport). It may or may not be a less expensive option, and you would be able to hit a grocery for any snacks/supplies you might need.
I know some airlines will let you take your own car seats as extra luggage in the hold on top of your luggage allowance, otherwise most car hire firms will rent out child car seats. Not sure about taxi firms.
With that many people and the luggage that goes with them, I would get a 15 passenger van from Fltours. We did that in September and are doing it again in May. It is about $115.00 plus tip round trip.
We called around to various towncars for a similar situation last month. Most companies would only guarantee us one car seat and one booster. The only company that we called that seemed flexible with car seats was Murray Hill. I didn't check Fl. Tours, though!
