3 1/2 * Hotel for Disneyland

We use Priceline all the time, too, which is why we've stayed at all the hotels listed by the OP and more. I just want to say to the OP: if your DBF is a "hotel snob", I would not use Priceline, but I would book directly thru the hotel of your choice. The reason for this is that there are a couple of hotels that Priceline says are 3*, but, IMO, they are not. The hotels are Holiday Inn Anaheim Resort, Hotel Menage & Anaheim Maingate (formerly Radisson Maingate). If you don't think you would be satisfied with any of those hotels, then I would not use Priceline, because there is the chance that you could get one of them. You can check out biddingfortravel.com to get more info on Priceline and to see what others are winning.

Good information to know... I have never gotten those other hotels (yet) nor have I stayed in any of them. I am not sure I would want to either...

OP you are still way in advance for your stay... I think you will be able to get a rate somewhere you will be happy with..

I would probably do either Embassy South or Hilton Suites. Embassy is close enought that you could walk if you had too, Hilton you would HAVE to take ART. Both are really nice, have all suites and offer a very nice hot breakfast buffet.

I rode ART, last month, and like I have stated in previous posts, elsewhere, I loved how easily it worked out for me, now granted, it is like any other transit system, where you do need to be mindful of the timetables, otherwise one will hopefully have a back up plan, in the event, of missing the last ART bus.
For me, ART was not "shady" in the least, the drivers were excellent, and they were on time, nor did I ever have to wait more than 10 minutes, if even that, and that was only because I had just missed the ART, as in, oh, no, there it is and wave at the driver as he passes by, for I am not close enough to be able to board my current mode of transportation.
The break during the afternoon, is between or was, anyway, last month, the hours of 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. If one is so adamantly against ART, so be it, I am not in that group, which I do not doubt for a second, is but a small one.
The ART has a pass for 3 days, for example, that is but only $8.00. Parking at Disneyland is $12 per day.

Now, when it comes to properties, I am really very happy with properties that are not 4 stars or greater, for I am so happy and excited to be able to visit Disneyland, that if I had to pitch a tent, in Frontier land in order to stay overnight, I would be open to it, in a flash, now that would be pretty cool. I believe my point has been made, if not, I am more than happy to reword, or rephrase anything that may cause one confusion, or consternation.

--I can barely read that orange. I usually highlight but end up losing it by accidentally clicking. Maybe you could put it in bold?

I think we are going the priceline route. After checking out betterbidding.com and your responses, we'd be happy with any of the 3* Priceline hotels. Sure, I think we'd both prefer the Hyatt over the Holiday Inn, but for $40-55, we certainly cannot complain! I would love to be close, but considering a best western motel is $120. I think it will be a great value and I don't think a shuttle will be that inconvenient. I did WDW again in February and the shuttles were a little annoying. Regardless, DL will involve less time on a bus!

Did you go to biddingfortravel.com ? I prefer that website for Priceline info. Make sure you understand about free rebids before you bid. Let me know if you have any questions. Also, I usually call the hotel as soon as I win a bid to put in my requests, like for non-smoking & # of beds. These are only requests, but we usually don't have any problems in Anaheim. Good luck! :)

Yup we looked at both. We're fine with whatever we get. We tried a free revid using "Anaheim hills" (no 3* there so it's safe). We're going to wait awhile to try again. We'd love to try to get something for less than $50. It's September, we do not go till March 28th...we have plenty of time to try. Thanks :)

It may be difficult to get something for less than $50 at that time of year. That is smack dab in the middle of spring break. Unfortunately, the whole country seems to be on spring break during a different week throughout March and April! You can still get a good price, though.

If you only used 1 free rebid, than you have several more tries before you're locked out. Otherwise, you only have to wait 24 hours. Since it is awhile, though, as you said, I would wait a little bit in between tries. Happy bidding! :goodvibes
