3 1/2 day visit - Trying to figure things out!

I will be at WDW for 3 1/2 days in two weeks on a solo trip before continuing on to visit friends in St. Augustine. . Ihave visited before, so will be selective about rides, etc. My flight is due in at noon and I am are figuring on a 2 pm arrival (hopefully) to CSR. Would it be worth it to try and do Epcot or AK that first day? I have thought about Thursday for MK with the 1/2 day Wed, Friday and Saturday up for grabs. I have always had longer visits so haven't really done any "tight planning" before! I am assuming that park hopping to Mk any day (especially a Saturday) is not a good idea. If you have planned and done a short trip like this I would appreciate your thoughts regarding which park on which days etc. Thanks. Gail

Not sure what the EMH park is on you day of arrival but if you get there around 2, I don't know that you'll have time to see AK. They close early, maybe around 6 or so. You can definitely do Epcot, though. World Showcase stays open late. If you go to the Disney website, they have the park hours posted. That should help in your decision making.

We do short trips often and usually combine MGM and AK in a day if we combine any. They have less things that we really have to do...that way we have a full day at MK and Epcot, one day split. Then depending on how much time we have left, we choose MK or Epcot for the other day or half day (usually Epcot for us...DH is an Illuminations fanatic!) Often our beginning half day is spent at Epcot, eating dinner and just strolling. I think it would be worth it to try this.
