This is my first time doing one of these but I would love feedback on our trip plans! Is that where people do this??
Okay, a little background. My husband and I are planning an upcoming family trip. Our boys will be 6 and 7 at the time. Our first family trip was Spring Break 2014, when we went for a week with my parents along. Had an amazing time and I've been chomping at the bit to get back!
Dates: April 1-9, 2016 (Driving from Kentucky, driving part of the way on the 1st, finishing our drive on the 2nd)
Resort: Port Orleans Riverside (Got a great deal right before Christmas!)
We booked our trip before Christmas, for 5, because we had a foster daughter in our home. However, she left our home today to live with family (yay for her but we are super sad that she has left). We are putting our home "on hold" for more placements until we return from our trip.
Our boys don't know about the trip yet - we're telling them tonight! We couldn't tell them without knowing if our FD would be with us. Now that we know, we can spill the beans! Our son (7) will be SO EXCITED! He wants to talk about Disney World every day and looks through our Disney scrapbook from our 2014 trip at least once a week.
So far, here's what I've got as a plan:
April 1 - Leave right after school dismissal, drive several hours and spend the night
April 2 - Continue drive, check in, hang about in PO-R, get to know the resort
April 3 - Magic Kingdom
April 4 - Epcot
April 5 - Sea World (Our youngest is obsessed with sea animals)
April 6 - Half rest day / Half at Hollywood Studios (afternoon)
April 7 - Animal Kingdom
April 8 - Magic Kingdom
April 9 - Check out and head for home!
Making FP+ reservations tonight!
